Benefits of AutoCAD AutoCAD is a computer-aided drafting software (CAD) application, which was developed and initially released in 1982 by Autodesk. This software enables the architects, cartographers, drafters and engineers to create three-dimensional (3D) and two-dimensional (2D) models of solid and mesh surfaces. The models are made possible by the software ability to offers a robust set of features and automated drafting tools. Prior to its invention, manual drafting and drawing tools such as drafting boards, geometrical set instrument and pencils were used but they only offered a subset of what now is accomplished by the programs such as the AutoCAD. Manual drafting was a difficult task for the professionals since it consumed a lot of time and resources. Therefore, this paper will examine some of the key benefits of the AutoCAD. AutoCAD has led to increasing the productivity of the designer. The AutoCAD software aids the designer in visualizing the final product to be made, its constituents and subassemblies parts. The design can also be given animation to figure out how the final product will work thus giving the designer room for any modification if required. The software also helps the designer in analyzing, synthesizing and documenting the designs. All these aspects ultimately assist in improving the productivity of the designer thus translating to lower cost of designing, faster designing and shortening of the project completion time (Groover & Zimmers, 1984). AutoCAD also helps in enhancing the quality of the design. AutoCAD offers a set of tools for professionals, which enable thorough engineering analysis of the proposed design to be carried out. For example, the AutoCAD Civil 3D helps you to explore different conceptual proposals, complete different design investigation, increase accuracy level, redefine the design until you achieve…...

... Benefit of the new public management There is a lot of benefit can be defined in the government that establish New Public Management (NPM). Firstly NPM attempted to diminish the role of the state and make the managers in various agencies become more responsive to be a political leader. Second, it aimed for greater efficiency through the use of private sector management techniques. Third, it focused on the citizen as a customer and service recipient. (Michael Hess and David Adams, 2007) As the major benefit can see that government activities have to moving from centralization to decentralization. We can call it as shared responsibility which all the managers in each agency are sharing an idea for a decision making. Under NPM, agencies have striven for increased efficiency at all levels. Besides that, agencies have more competences and expanded their scope of action in the budgetary process as well as on personnel issues. (Stefan Rieder and Luzia Lehmann, 2002). Among the staff as well can improve the level of motivation by implemented of goal-oriented process. There is also several issue needs to cover in New Public Management. Four major area selected aspect in New Public Management (Derry Ormond and Elke Loffler, 1998): 1- Budgeting New process on budgeting system enhances government to control over aggregate expenditures and facilitates reallocation between resources. Government will no longer discusses on individual appropriations but rather the overall......

Benefits of Cad

...The Benefits of CAD in Technical Graphic Communication There are many benefits to using CAD, or computer-aided design in the architectural drafting field. Some of the major benefits include, but are not limited to; time savings, drawing correction and modification, and drawing sharing. “AutoCAD and AutoCAD LT are the most popular CAD systems in the world, and most CAD managers support at least some AutoCAD seats.”(1) Whether it is a large company or a small firm, when doing architectural drafting time is of the essence, time is money, and time is EVERYTHING. In the past drafters/designers would take hours upon hours during every stage in the design process. From early sketches, to models, to finished product with many revisions and editing hours for each step and more. With the introduction of CAD, drafters are able to speed this process up. “Convert Time into Money in industry. There is no place for the slow technician or engineer” (2). With advances in technology there is the opportunity to customize CAD program specifically for any firm which also makes for a decrease in time on projects. As the timeliness of projects increase there is an opportunity for an increase in work, which ultimately increases the company’s profit and reputation Drawing corrections and modification is not nearly as difficult with CAD as it was in the past when everything was done by hand. Not that some things still aren’t done by hand but more times than not even hand drawn sketches are......

The Benefits of Cad in Architectural Graphic Communication

...The Benefits of CAD in Architectural Graphic Communication In the process of Architectural Graphic Communication, Computer-Aided Drafting, or CAD, has become a vital tool. Architects can use can for a multitude of different task, including but not limited to, site plan drawings, floor plans, and elevation views. My understanding CAD and how it operates, Architects are able to create and edit their creations at the click of a button. By using a CAD program, an architect is able to create faster and more accurate drawings. Because of the quickness of creating the drawing, revisions can be made just as quickly and efficiently. Architects have a quick and demanding job and the ability to create drawings quickly and accurately will allow an architect to better manage their time. Using a CAD program can help lower product development costs. Using a CAD program, such as AutoCAD, can help eliminate time-consuming repetitive work and ensure proper adherence to drafting standards. The creation and customization of AutoCAD allows the maintenance of a database that can contain every element in a drawing. Different types of information can be attached to the objects in the drawing. For example, if designing an office with a desk, and it is a desk that has been used in a previous drawing, or design, the architect can easily access that piece of furniture that has already been created to the new piece of work they are working on. This especially comes in handy when working on......

...software to serve their specific needs, validating, testing, and eliminating possible errors, and maintaining the software. Therefore, usually ERP is not the best option for small business. 3.0 CAD/CAM ROBOTICS DEFINITION Computer-aided designed (CAD) is a form of computer technology that assists in the drawing and technical drafting of product and even building. Architect use CAD to develop 3D drawing of their design, but it main functions is to create 2D vector-based model and 3D solid and surface model. Manufacturer use CAD’s capabilities to view specific part and component design before production, so they can check for flaws and re-design if necessary. Computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) creates physical model by transferring the design into machine code. This is helpful when manufacturers need to check a part of component against other part for proper fit. In order to generate the actual model, CAM works alongside CAD (using CAD design). CAM uses numerical coding to run the machine that creates the product. A CAD/CAM system allows companies to develop and to save their own product design and program machine to create the actual component. APPLICATION The mechanical sector is a largest user of CAD system. This application is usually coupled with manufacturing forming a CAD/CAM system. It also cover all type of manufacturing operation such as milling, turning, wire EDM, punching and others. WHO USE THIS SOFTWARE? Nissan, the car producer, found that the......

Benefits of Cad in Tech Graphic Communication

...Benefits of CAD in Technical Graphic Communication There are many Benefits to AutoCAD such as time savings, drawing correction and modification, library creation for repeated block insertion and draw sharing. I’m going to explain some of the benefits of AutoCAD. You can tell it has a lot why else would so many people use it. Engineers use to take hours and even more hours with each step of the design process. Engineers know that time is everything the more time you take the more money you make. your boss doesn’t want you to take to much time because he would have to pay to much and you would lose your job. AutoCAD takes away alot of that time because you can store it, copy it, transfer it and so much other stuff just with the click of a mouse. Customizing your AutoCAD eliminates The tasks that you would have to do over and over.(Make AutoCAD work for you by using custom programming to automate many repetitive tasks). AutoCAD (reduces the purchase, deployment and support costs with one complete solution) That put into more words means that without AutoCAD you would have to go to use many applications to do what AutoCAD does. An example of an application that you would need others is Revit. Revit only works with 3D images but AutoCAD works with both 2D and 3D images. (The main benefits of using 3D CAD models and rapid prototyping technologies include: reducing time to market, generating bottom-line savings, Enhancing communication and collaboration Etc). Many different......

Q1. Understanding Human Behavior Is Critical to Organizations – Discuss the Benefits of Self Evaluation/Self Assessment as It Relates to Leaders Today

...Q1. Understanding human behavior is critical to organizations – discuss the benefits of self evaluation/self assessment as it relates to leaders today. Understanding human behavior is critical to managers at all levels inside any organization. Individual managers within the organization can especially benefit from conducting self-evaluations. It is essential for managers to be self -ware and understand how their own behavior and personality can give them a better perspective while working with others. Being self-aware allows one to recognize and improve their strengths and weaknesses in order to maximize their leadership potential. In Organizational Behavior, Robins & Judge (13th Edition) tell us that organizational behavior is the knowledge gained about individuals, groups and the effect of structure on behavior in order to make organizations work more effectively. A major goal for any organization should be to work more effectively and to continuously make improvements, this is summarized by the Japanese Philosophy of Kaizen. For an organization to strive to continuously improve the leadership and management must adapt and learn. There are many ways in which a manager can strive to improve and one of those is through self-evaluation. What is a self-assessment or evaluation? Daniel Goleman (2000. Page 80) tells us that an accurate self-assessment is a “realistic evaluation of your strengths and......

Cad Software Research Paper

...Computer-aided design, or CAD, has helped shape the way we can draft out and analyze structures we want to construct. The first CAD software consisted of using a light pen to draw lines on a computer screen. We use CAD to make virtual 3D models of buildings or different components. CAD software has become advanced to where anyone at home with a computer can download the software and create designs of their own instead of the software only being available to engineers or scientists. With the addition of 3D printing, people can now take their 3D designs on CAD and turn them into an actual product. At this rate, there are endless possibilities in which CAD can evolve. With the advances we have made in developing the CAD software, it seems possible to create an online store with CAD. There are times where consumers have trouble finding the product they want exactly how they want it. With an online store that is CAD-based, consumers can design their desired product from home down to the last detail such as the material it’s made from to the size they would like. There could even be a feature that lets them know how much their product will cost as they’re creating it. Once completed, the consumer can submit their design to a manufacture where the product can be physically created or even 3D printed. From there, the product can be delivered to or picked up by the consumer. Now the consumer has the desired product they were looking for. In addition to the CAD software, many......

Benefits

...Employee Benefits Employee benefits is very important benefit that every employee should be looking at when it comes time to search for a job. Many companies offer a lot of employee benefits, however; there are some that are more important than others. When the organization is developing and planning their benefit package, there is information that is very important for the planning process and then there is other information that is not as important when it comes to the planning process. The most important information when it comes to planning process for employee benefits would be compensation(2014). You have to have a good compensation package for your employees based on their experience, education, and knowledge. When employees are searching for jobs, one of the first things they want to know is how much they will be making per an hour or if it is salary, the employee will want to know how much their salary is going to be. So that would be one of the most important things to consider when planning for the process of employee benefits. The second most important thing when a company is planning for employee benefits would be medical insurance. Most companies offer health insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, and prescription coverage. Now a days, every person has to have health insurance due to the Obama care so that is why the medical insurance is one of the most important things to plan when planning the employee’s benefits process. Medical insurance......

Cad at Regal Marine

...It was stated in the introduction earlier that Regal Marine uses CAD technology. CAD Technology stands for Computer Aided Deign It uses technology that allows the user to draft and design a 2D or 3D object, and enables him to get a glimpse of how that object will relatively look like once it is produced in reality CAD is very economical and environment friendly since its output comes in electronic form Since CAD is an innovative technique, it brings a lot of engineering saving to the company, especially if we compare it against the traditional drafting techniques. First, in terms of quality. Under accuracy, traditional drafting may lead to errors because of human fault. The designer might miscalculate the specifications of the design. For instatance, drawing a convex instead of a concave or drawing a 5 cm straight line instead of a 4 cm one. With CAD, there is a feature that allows an “error check” which ensures that all the specifications in the design are correct before completing it or printing it for approval. Under workforce, since drafting by hand is a long and tedious process, you need many men to complete a design. Training these men may be expensive. Also, you need specialists who have steady hands and are good artists for special projects. With CAD, the technology is easy to learn, hence the employees can be quickly deployed in the work area. Because the design time is much easier and shorter, the teams will be lean. Lastly, because the......
