What are the implications of consumer behaviour for marketing strategy?

Marketing strategy is playing an important role in a successful business. But, how to ensure the strategy is using correctly? Indeed, understand the consumer behaviour is the first point for marketer to making the right decision. Marketer need to understand the perception of customer and the culture of their target audience.

Brand image is crucial for a product because it will affect the perception of customer. According to O'Cass and Frost (2002), if the consumer understand about the key brand and match with what they want, it will increase the opportunity of buying. Use other words, if the consumer do not care about the characteristic of brand and brand-image, they will not consume the product. Thus, the marketer should understand more about their customer in order to build a positive brand image and let their customer familiar with their brand. Besides, if the consumers have a positive feelings during the purchasing process, it will reduce the time of making decision. For example, there are a lot of laptop brands with different functions, appearances and prices in the market, and each of it has different target audience. Like Sony, they are target on higher social status consumer who willing to spend more money on it which having positive image to attract customer. Thus, Sony always open it outlet at higher class shopping center and do advertisement on television. It is easy to get the attention from their target audience. A successful business should not only create the positive brand name, but also need to know about the culture of their customers.

Culture is another element to be considered while making decision on marketing strategy. For a globalization business, the national cultures are playing an important rule. Indeed, the consumers in different country have different food…...

...My Career Plan I have always wanted to work in the medical field; however, as I went to different open houses, school requirements and reviewed all I that was needed, I thought it was not possible. After doing the career assessments, it pretty much confirmed most of my career choices. My initial career choice was to be a Physical Therapist, a Lawyer, and then a Nurse, and finally a Teacher. ...2014 Career Interests and Profiler The results of my Career Plan are beyond ridiculous. After completing this necessary step in my continuing education, I took the tests with great hope and interest as to what results it would come up with for me. To state that I was disappointed is an understatement. As you, the reader of this paper, do not know me personally, you do not know my life experiences, what I have been taught or what I have learned from my teachers, mentors, coaches, and most importantly my father. I have a huge interest in history as well as government and cultures from around the world. One of the recommendations that arose from the career plan was teacher; something I have been doing for over 15 years now except not in an official capacity. My teaching career first started soon after acquiring the rank of sergeant in the U.S. Army. I enjoyed the research and pulling together all the learning aids needed to make the teaching more in depth and engaging. Shortly after that my wife and I introduced our first child into the world. This change of events further instituted the art of teaching in my life. I found it ever more important to be able to arm my children with facts, a moral compass, and to question everything. I enjoy hearing about conversations she has disproved or how she was able to change the way her friends thought about voting.
