Confused, Puzzled Me!
It was when I met “him” when I got confused and puzzled. That was love. Now, this for sure isn’t like that. It’s the social evolutionary theory. An hour of discussion could make me a new me and it puzzled and confused me. I had a hard time thinking deeply and everything was “WHY?” Maybe this wasn’t my love for “him”, but this may involve him, my values and my religion. Social evolutionary theory, just like the natural selection theory, is grounded on the survival part of beings in their environment but this theory focuses more on the social group based on relationships and interaction among members. Some of the studies may have been familiar to me but there were a number of issues that amazed and struck me the most. As I have been mentioning, the theory may involve him, the mate-selection process. And the last two, concerned most on my beliefs and religion.
Everyone, even once but mostly a number of times, might have aspired for a life partner of body and brain. All I thought, desiring for a hot body for me as a woman was all lust but now thanks for the theory, I got an excuse! It’s just that a v-shaped man with broad shoulders and thick hair reflect his being a man capable of producing a productive offspring. And maybe I can’t stop a man if he demands the physical side of me because like me, he also got an excuse. Wearing make-up is also an issue. Why is it that only girls wear make-up? How about the boys? Well, I now know boys were just born naturally blooming and it seems unfair for girls, just because a girl produces an egg cell once in a month. For me acceptance of myself as it is is the most important for it costs a lot to wear make-up each day. But then any partnership isn’t just determined by attractiveness but also with the financial status. It would be with no humility if I’d say, I want to have partners with low income, because…...

...“The difficulty in life is the choice”, 1 100% agree with this quote George Moore indeed would have gotten a vote from me when it came to come true this actually is. To explain his quote in other words; he’s stating the hardships and difficultly in life can most likely be avoided , you step into it and enhance it more that’s where the difficulty comes in which in some many ways could have probably be avoided . The book “Twelve Angry Men” by Reginald Roses is definitely a prime example of chosen difficulty when in many ways it could have been avoided. The teenager in the book “Twelve Angry Men” was on trial for the manslaughter of his own father. In my opinion that teen was all the way guilty. But majority of the 12 jurors saw him as innocent. Some pledged his innocence by justifying the manslaughter by saying he was “ a product of his environment” , claiming the boy grew up in the slums , had it bad all his life , from the robbing’s to the car theft even the stabbing his was involved in with another teen. But let’s be real it wasn’t mandatory for this teen to do those things. In all reality that young boy did those wrong doing himself all by his lonesome. Of course probably his environment gave him ideas and the thoughts in his head, but let’s thinks did the environment put the knife in his hand and forced him to kill his father? No right, so why the environment is the one to blame when it came to this boy reasons for killing his own father? No one lead him down the path of...

Copier Confused

...specification. Then John received a call from one of the other bidders to the effect that there was no way Copiers could provide dual cassette machines at its bid price. The bidder knew of John's desire for dual cassette machines, and its price was second only to Copiers' bid, though by a significant amount. Confused, and a little suspicious, John called Copiers' representative, Rachel Alexander, and asked for confirmation that Copier was offering a dual cassette machine. Rachel was familiar with the specification in The Business Company's solicitation. She knew that neither the words dual cassette nor any other reference to multiple-tray design appeared anywhere in the document. After a moment's hesitation, she said, "John, our machine satisfies your specification in every way. You'll be very happy with it." She was certain that he was confused about the requirement. John then wrote a letter to Rachel just to be sure. The letter asked for confirmation that the Model 125 was a dual-cassette design. Reading the letter, Rachel was sure that John would be happy with the Model 125. The specification did not call for a dual cassette design, and she told herself that John was still confused about the term. After all, the Model 125 had been state-of-the-art not that long ago. Copy quality was superb, the machines were very reliable, the price was terrific, and Copiers would provide great service. Rachel responded to John's letter by writing - We absolutely guarantee that our......

Why Are Nations Confused with the State?

...Sam Morris Why is the nation sometimes confused with the state? A nation is defined by a group of people who share a common cultural background, whether this be through shared traditions, a common language, history, religion, etc. They will consider themselves to be a community that has the ability to communicate on may level. A state is a sovereign power which is geographically defined and is governed by a certain set of laws and principles, which entitles it to be a self-determined entity. In today’s society some may view that because a state has these set of values, and that its citizens are by the very nature of fact that they abide by these values, are a nation. For example even though France is a state, the French people are also seen to form a nation. This combination of people sharing cultural values and having self-determination creates a nation-state. There is confusion caused because the state and the nation are linked heavily. Apart from the fact that most states are nations, the fact that the United Nations is actually a collection of states, recognised because of their political sovereignty. The two are also sometimes confused because nations which are not states will usually be struggling to gain statehood, which furthers the point that’s the two are intrinsically linked, such as Scotland who are seeking independence from the UK. Therefore they are currently part of the UK as a state, however they see their national identity as being......

Diary of a Confused Young Girl

...you were me. That's what we were, we were eachother, just one power with the ability to control two. You see, that's what you did to me, you controlled me and you still control my thoughts and capture them just like you used to. There is no love lost between you and I, but that's about all that remains. We could have been one, but together we are dead, apart, we are able to fly freely just like we never could when I had you and you had me. I think of all we were and dream of all we could have been. People always say that some things you never get over. All this time, I wondered, how could something be so powerful? So powerful that it is never overcome? But now I know, only now do I know how it feels to be trapped by a power stronger than you could ever be. Addiction happens sooner than you can say it, but it's not just an addiction, it is a never ending desire for fulfilment, a fulfilment that can only be achieved if you take one too many pills, put too much pressure on the blade, an addiction eats away at you. It leaves you with nothing but everything you once had left in tatters beneath you. Maybe I'd never fully understand it, but maybe I didn't want to. My understanding is enough and it will always be enough for me. I don't know why the thought of you being with anyone or even happy with someone else still stings me like it used to. It must be the fact that I tried so hard to make you happy, and your happiness can be found so easily in someone who isn't me.......

Children: Criminals, Challenged, or Confused

...Children: Criminals, Challenged, or Confused Xxxxxx Xxxxxxx L33333333 Liberty University Abstract Should children under the age of 7 years old be held responsible for crimes they have committed? In this case study we will be looking at an incident where a 6-year-old boy shot a classmate at school. Our purpose for conducting this case study is to find evidence to support the current laws of our legal system. We will cite developmental reasons why young children, during early childhood development, lack the ability to understand what they have done. We will cite areas that may lurk in the background of the young child’s life that support the current law. We will explore the Biosocial, Cognitive, and Psychosocial Developments of young children to find support for the legal system’s age determination. We will be using only one reference book for this case study. The book is titled, “The Developing Person Through the Life Span.” Its author is Kathleen Stassen Berger. Using this as our single reference, we will obtain the necessary support to sustain the actions of our legal system. The abstract (in block format) begins on the line following the Abstract heading. The abstract is a one-paragraph, self-contained summary of the most important elements of the paper. Nothing should appear in the abstract that is not included in the body of the paper. Word limits for abstracts are set by individual journals. Most......

... But for the older group of sports fanatics and people who are looking for a cold one with the boys or with the gals, tagging on the phrase "Wings, Beer, and your favorite sports". We will use these different phrases with the places that we are going to advertise to these specific targets, which we will get to next. The first type of media we are going to use is event sponsorship to reach to sports fanatics and older men and women. Year around there are bowling leagues and softball leagues and soccer leagues that need to have team sponsors in order to pay for their equipment. This would be a perfect way to get our logo on a jersey and to promote coming to hang out after the game. I know that if I was sponsored by Buffalo Wild Wings that me and the boys would head to our sponsors place after the game. My personal favorite that we are going to do is our support media outdoor signage on route 24 targeting the flowing traffic coming from Fort Wayne, IN and Toledo, OH. There are going to be ten signs involved, five coming from either direction. One sign will be placed at the 69-24 loop and the other placed at the 75-24 loop just stating the Buffalo Wild Wings logo and promotion for Defiance, OH....

...could do with music the way the seemingly subtle change of one thing could completely change the entire experience, emotion, and message that existed within a piece of music. High school is where I truly blossomed as musician. As a freshman, I began playing in the jazz band (which developed into my favorite style to play), I made first chair in the symphonic band over three seniors and a junior, I began learning how to play the bassoon, and I began to teach myself piano and guitar. Currently, I play alto saxophone, bassoon, clarinet, piano, and guitar. Being drum major has given me an experience that is like no other; I get to lead 141 other students every day, and I get to share this love of music with them and create something that will be left as legacy as new and old traditions and processes are passed down through years of students. It is all this history—all this personal expansion—that has lead me into wanting to continue my musical education and to be able to pass the art of music down to generations to come....

In this sim, what variables are you seeing? Write the formula below, and indicate the units used to measure each one. 2. Try increasing the resistivity of the resistor, . How does this change the “look” of the resistor? Describe how that relates to the formula you just wrote (direct, indirect relationships, etc.). What happens to the value of “R” (Resistance)? Is this something that can be changed in a resistor that you would buy in a store to use in a circuit? 3. If you increase the length (L) what happens to “R”? WHY? 4. If you increase the area (A) of the resistor. What changes? WHY? 5. Write a summary about the different relationships you looked at in the properties and measurements of a resistor. “Ohm’s Law”: In this sim, vary the values of Resistance (R), Current (I) and Voltage (V). 1. What are three different combinations of I and R which get a voltage of 6.0 Volts? 2. Describe the relationship between I and R. Why is this? 3. What would happen if you could decrease the resistance to 0? Explain....

Be Me.

...licked my head, takes control of my head from a distant, glass reflection. I finally make my way toward the cold, bare bathroom. Recovered, I find myself looking into the lifeless reflection to prepare for another unstable day. To start, I set my hands to find the light switch which seems to avoid me. Light glaring into my poor, unaware pupils, I set my hands in warm-filled water. I bring my face alongside the running, sincere water. After hydration, I attempt to clear out the cow-licked hair-do; I reach for my sturdy, black comb and combat the cow’s drool! With no avail, I soon give up. I place my index finger on the power button of the high-powered, blue electric-shaver and trim the fur that guards my face from fierce colds. Next, I prime my toothbrush with invigorating, peppermint toothpaste and smoothly graze each special tooth. I then enrich my essence with refined, colorful fragrances. Widely awake, I dash toward the fridge and explore its contents. A glass of cold milk and protein bars fill me. The cocoa aroma of the breakfast bars surrounds me. I adore the refreshingly, cold liquid and chocolaty sweetness of the bars. After finishing my feast, a text from a classmate notifies me to leave for school. Soon after leaving my house, I started my silver Cadillac then drove to pick up a classmate and head to class together. Finally, we arrive at school just to find no available parking. Irritated by no available space, I realize that I’m going to be late to class. I’m......

...the speed at which the reaction took place. And that’s kind of important. Was our experiment well-conducted? Processing issues? For a few high-schoolers with no training or clue as to what they were doing, I’d say we met expectations. True, the lab itself proved to be inaccurate. But hey-- at least we had some data, and came up with conclusions of some kind. Some were not so lucky. Individual issues have been addressed several times-- namely the fact that the reaction itself took place over a much longer time than was necessary, making the temperature change much more gradual than we could have hoped; our max value was a lot lower than what I feel it would have been had we performed correctly. If I could run this experiment again, let me tell you exactly how things would go down. First, I’d use the most precise balance in the room, as compared to the one nearest my desk. Second, I’d first measure out my 50mL of HCl in a graduated cylinder before allowing it to react with the NaCl; better accuracy is better accuracy. We also clearly had time to run more than one trial, if our first one was so badly screwed up and yet we still came out with a final conclusion. Therefore, we should have run 2-3 in total. If one were to reproduce our results, they would have to screw up pretty badly in their experiment. The experiment itself isn’t that impossible to reproduce if done correctly, although it would be wise to add the part about catalyzing the reaction (as well as giving a......

...to come ,but took me as a surprise. See derrick is very special; his is those kinds of guys you absolutely feel attached to because they are gentle and caring, and make up for amazing friend. However, he was not the only one there his “friends” arrived to. I decided to just ignore that and jump to the 3ft high colled water pool I felt a chilling sensation while I hit the bottom of the pool and out of the sudden I started to feel fresh, a little confused but more alive than ever. The pool just awoke this feeling of being reborn, though I was still myself. When I decided to get out up me chilling water was washing out my visage, and that’s when I caught eye of him, It was like being in a drought and suddenly felling the raindrops. He definitely looked differently, I wasn’t sure of what but it made smirk. We both made eyed contact , he for sure saw me the same way, he couldn’t stop smiling but what was I doying, really derrick he was just a friend, no, he definitely dint feel like a friend anymore there was something more to this. It felt exciting and I wanted to know more about this moving emotion. I decided to get out of the water and seek help, to the only girl I know is an expert on this kinds o f situations, Unabella. When I got to her, was kind in a hurry but I told her to help me, she agreed wit h the condition that I’d gave my beautiful coral sandals in order to talk to her boyfriend. Me, Me Me

...In January 2008 a British journalist, Sarfraz Manzoor, wrote an article with the title “Me, Me, Me” that appeared in the magazine “Esquire”. He gives his opinion on how the phenomenon “New Narcissism” has its influences on today’s society through the Internet. And he leaves us with the impression that there is a reason to be worried about today's youth being more narcissistic than ever before. Narcissism is not new for us. New Narcissism is a modern version of the phenomenon narcissism. And it has been known since ancient Greece with the Greek myth about Narcissus that fell in love with his own reflection in the water. The man that got narcissism recognized as a medical condition was Sigmund Freud (l. 53). But in our age, the word, narcissism, does not seem that serious and is mostly defined as a phenomenon. This New Narcissism has come to life because society reproduces itself (l. 59). And growing numbers of people are more narcissistic according to a study performed by psychologists. Sarfraz Manzoor, who has written this article, describes that New Narcissism is the offspring of today’s society. He makes an example by including a person named Chris Crocker. Crocker became famous because he put a video on the Internet where he defended the celebrity Britney Spears. There can be two reasons for his behaviour. Is he doing this to tell people that they shall back off and because he is fond of her? Or is he doing this to get attention? But it does not seem as if Britney is......
