Why manufactures may use the internet for a new product
1) They could use the internet to research peoples favourite type of hot drinks weather they’re tea, coffe or hot chocolate. The internet could be used to also create a questionnaire for the public to vote on their favourite hot drinks and to give direct feed back if they like their drinks creamy/milky/thin and runny. The internet could also be used to locate any new types of recipes and what other types of ingredients to use.

Another reason would be that it protects the food products from getting damaged and that it also appeals to the public.

Evaluation - Food Technology Gcse

...Evaluation: I chose to make a meal that contained Calcium and Vitamin D. In order to accomplish this, I made two dishes. The first, Fish in Cheese Sauce, and the second, Pistachio and Chocolate Mousse with fruit salad in Tuile Baskets. Before I made these two dishes, I researched about Calcium and Vitamin D and found out why these were important in the body and what they helped prevent. This helped me gain more insight and helped me know how important they were. Then, I found out a list of foods that contained these nutrient sin high quantities. With this, I was able to choose what dishes I was going to make. Before I chose these dishes however, using Food for a PC, I was able to know how much Calcium and Vitamin D these dishes contained. Comparing the figures to the DRVs, I was able to know what needed to be adjusted. This meant that I changed the fish (originally Cod) to Herring which had more Calcium in it. Even with this, I had not provided the entire amount of calcium needed. Also, I researched a couple of recipes that I could do. Another part of my planning was that I created a sample sensory analysis sheet that I could use for my sensory testing. This helped because with the six words I had chosen, I knew what I needed to focus on more (making it soft, savoury, etc). After all of this, using the recipe I had chosen from the internet, I made a time plan that showed how long I should take to do things. This helped me because it told me what I needed to do and how long......

...What is the word and symbol equation for aerobic respiration? * Glucose + Oxygen = Carbon Dioxide + water (+ energy) * C6 H12 O6 + 6o2 = 6CO2 + 6H20 What is the word and fermentation equation for anaerobic respiration? * Glucose = Lactic Acid * Glucose = Ethanol + Carbon Dioxide (=energy) – with this equation the ethanol and Co2 breaks downs the sugars into products e.g. like bread is made using yeast where the sugar breaks down into products. FERMENATION is where things respire anaerobically. What is the job of an enzyme? * To speed up chemical reactions, as they are proteins. What needs to be constant for enzymes to work? * Temperature,( however if too high the enzymes de-natures) What is the optimum PH? * Where the enzyme is most active as that is where they work their best, however if the PH is too low or high it affects the bonds holding the enzymes together therefore, changing the shape of the active site… the enzyme denatures. What is the function of a DNA molecule? * It contains the genetic code for enzymes involved in respiration The functions of plants & animal cells are: * Mitochondria are where enzymes are, where aerobic respiration reactions take place. * Cytoplasm is a gel-like substance where anaerobic respiration takes place as some controlled enzyme reactions take place here. * Cell membrane is what controls what goes in and out of the cell as it acts like a barrier allowing water &......

Gcse Music Revision

...Music Revision Relative Keys: In music, relative keys are the major and minor scales that have the same key signatures. A major and minor scale sharing the same key signature are said to be in a relative relationship. The relative minor of a particular major key, or the relative major of a minor key, is the key which has the same key signature but a different tonic; this is as opposed to parallel minor or major, which shares the same tonic. Relative keys are closely related keys, the keys between which most modulations occur, in that they differ by no more than one accidental (none in the case of relative keys) The minor key starts three semitones below its relative major; for example, A minor is three semitones below its relative, C Major. G major and E minor both have a single sharp in their key signature at F♯; therefore, E minor is the relative minor of G major, and conversely G major is the relative major of E minor. The tonic of the relative minor is the sixth scale degree of the major scale, while the tonic of the relative major is the third degree of the minor scale. > (marked near note head) | Accent: emphasis on a particular note | A triad is a chord of three notes. | | The chord built on the first note of the scale, I, is called the tonic. The chord built on the fourth IV is called the subdominant and the V is called the dominant. These chords are also known as the first, fourth and fifth degrees of the scale. * A concord is a chord where all......

Food Technology - Food Manufacture

...materials into the manufactured food product: Mixing: The process of mixing is used to evenly distribute ingredients and transforms the ingredients into dough. Within a factory setting that is creating Chocolate Chip Cookies, all the ingredients are poured into an industrial sized mixing machine that is set to mix all the ingredients together until the dough is complete. Freezing: When freezing a product, the slower the rate of freezing, the larger the ice crystals form. This is why it is desirable to have the most rapid rate of freezing. Chocolate chip cookies that are being distributed to food service customers (e.g. restaurants and hotels) are frozen. They are put into a freeze tunnel and then flash frozen to prevent the formation of ice crystals. Freezing also stops enzymes growing and reproducing, making them retarded. While they are stoped, they are not destroyed. Heating: The type of equipment used to heat the raw material depends on the nature of the raw materials and the intensity of the heat treatment. The chocolate chip cookies that are being distributed to supermarkets and large scale shops as a finished product need to be cooked inside the factory. The factory uses radiant heat in an oven, in particular, the tunnel oven. The tunnel oven is the most commonly used type of oven within the factory setting. The baking chamber is over 100 meters long and is narrow and shallow. Heat is also used to destroy the enzymes in the food product. Large-scale......
