The Book of genesis covers a range of topics from the creation of the earth and mankind to the beginning of sin. In fact, the name “Genesis” is Latin for “the beginning”. The book plays a vital part in the controversy between the theory of evolution and the idea of God speaking the Earth and all its inhabitants into existence. Genesis chapters 1-11 are primarily focused on the natural world, human identity, human relationships, and the birth of civilization. Understanding that is important in knowing the origins the world, mankind and how sin slithered its way into the world. Genesis is mainly referred to as the creation story; how God spoke life into the entire universe. In just a mere six days, God created the light, separated sky from water calling the space “sky”, differentiated the water from the land, creating season and time, sprouted vegetation all over the land, filled the waters with fish and sky with birds, created animals to roam the earth, and made man and woman in his own image. But, after being tricked by the serpent, the fall of man began when Adam and Eve ate from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. Adam and Eve were banished from the Garden of Eden so they would not be tempted to touch or eat from the tree of life and gain eternal life. The devil disguised himself as the serpent and convinced Eve that if they eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, they will be just like God. The main reason why Eve gave into the temptation was not that she was hungry; she gave in because she desired the wisdom it would give her. When the fruit was eaten, a sinful nature invaded the hearts of mankind. Because of this, there is a separation between mankind and God. But, Genesis 3:15 prophesizes the coming of a messiah who would break the eternal separation from God. “He will strike your head, and you will strike his heel” (Gen 3:15). This verse…...

The teachings in these scriptures help us to understand how we are to view the world, and what part God has played in the creation and recreation of the world. A triune God formed the natural world in six literal days. We know this by the wording that is used. Moses uses the word “Yom” as the word for “day” in this book. “Yom” is used in other parts of the Bible and refers to a literal twenty-four hour day, so we can be sure Moses wasn’t referring to a day as an age. He formed it out of nothing by the power of his voice. He showed us how to conduct our weeks, as we should work six days and on the seventh day we should rest. The principle of the Sabbath rest was set forth by God in Genesis 2:2-3 NIV which reads, “By the seventh day God had finished the work he had been doing; so on the seventh day he rested from all his work. These scriptures give us our first glimpse at God and his characteristics, and the origin of our world. By teaching these two very important concepts we are able to take away a lot from that. We can understand how we are to treat the world, treat others, how we are to interact with God and who we are as both individuals and as a society or civilization. One of the most prominent and obvious themes of these first chapters is how God created the world. The Bible teaches that the world was created in a quite literal and physical way. ...Hands-On Project 11-1 I began by going to the Microsoft security website. I then viewed one of the security vulnerabilities that affected Microsoft Office Products. This screenshot explains in detail what the vulnerability potentially allowed an attacker to do, and explains how Microsoft fixed it. It also informs us of how Microsoft gained awareness of the vulnerability. Customers are simply advised to update their computer through Windows Update in order to patch the security vulnerability. I see that many of the security vulnerabilities apply to Microsoft Windows in general, and this would be because the computer system as a whole is much more broad then a specific program being targeted, such as Microsoft Word or Microsoft Outlook. Many of these vulnerabilities are very similar in that the attacker convinces the user to open a malicious file, and then the attacker would be able to take over the computer. These malicious files applied to MANY programs, so the file type could be one of many different extensions. Next, I went to the United States CERT website. The alert I read about affects Windows systems dating all the way back to 1995. This alert is a type of malicious file that is able to morph and change its appearance after every infection. The file is transferred via USB, CD, DVD, ZIP files, RAR files, and across networks.
