Unit 5 P2 Definitions

...P2 - Definitions Capital Income: This is the net worth of a business. It’s the amount in which assets exceed liabilities. It’s the income that comes from capital, which means it’s coming directly from the government itself, rather than any specific production or direct work. Capital income includes stock dividends or any sort of capital gains, as well as income an owner gets from a business they own. Sole traders: If you’re self-employed then it means you work for yourself, and not for an employer. A sole-trader is a self-employed person and they are the sole owner of their business. Partners: Partners are people who have shares within businesses. This means they don’t solely own the business; it could be split by 2 or more people, starting with a 50% share for 2 people and so on. Shares: If someone has a share within a business, it means that they have a unit of ownership within a corporation or financial asset. However, owning shares of a business doesn’t generally mean that they have direct control over said business on a day to day basis, but they are entitled to an equal distribution of any profits if any end up being declared in the form of dividends. Loans: A loan is something that is borrowed, generally money. This means people borrow a sum of money (often a large sum of money) and they’re expected to pay it back, with interest. Mortgages: A mortgage is a legal agreement between somewhere like a bank or building society, and they lend money in agreement that...

...Hai y’all. Datuk Lee Chong Wei (born 21 October 1982 in Bagan Serai, Perak[1]) is a Malaysian Chinese professional badminton player. As a singles player, Lee was ranked first worldwide for 199 consecutive weeks from 21 August 2008 to 14 June 2012.[2] He is the third Malaysian player after Rashid Sidek and Roslin Hashim to achieve such a ranking (since official rankings were first kept in the 1980s), and is the only Malaysian shuttler to hold the number one ranking for more than a year.[3] Lee is a silver medalist in both the 2008 and 2012 Olympic Games, making him the sixth Malaysian to win an Olympicmedal[3] and the first Malaysian to reach the finals in the men's singles event, ending Malaysia's Olympic medal drought since the 1996 Games. This achievement also earned him the title Datuk, and a description by Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Tun Razak as a national hero.[4] He repeated the achievement four years later in London, thus making him the most successful Malaysian Olympian in history.[5] In his early years, Lee favoured basketball, however his mother soon forbade him from the game due to the searing heat of the outdoor basketball court. Lee began to learn badminton at the age of 11, when his father, who liked to play the game, brought him to the badminton hall. Attracting the attention of a local coach, the coach asked Lee's father if he could take him as a student. After receiving his father's consent, the coach began to train Lee after school.[6]Discovered......

...Joseph Jones P2 describe the main employability, personal and communication skills required when applying for a specific job role. In this task I will be writing about the main employability, personal and communications skills required to be a P.E teacher. The main employability skills required to be a P.E teacher are that they actually have the required qualifications for the desired role. If they do not have the qualifications to be a P.E teacher then there is no way at all that they would be employed by anyone to teach P.E. The fact that an employee has the required qualifications shows that they have the desire to work hard in order to get the job and it shows that they care about their future and they want to succeed. Other employability skills that employers look for is previous experience in a similar role, employers look for experience in specific roles as if they are experienced in the certain role then they will know what they are doing in the job. Another employability skill that employers look for is the ability to observe standards and the ability to further raise them standards. This is key for the job as a P.E teacher as P.E teachers are always expected to raise the standard of physical education within the schools that they teach. Other generic employability skills that employers would look for are punctuality, honesty, and fairness. These skills are required in every job. The main personal skill that an employer will look for in a P.E teacher is......

...Roles and Skills of an Events Organiser For this piece of work I will be explaining the role and describing the skills required by an events organiser; with this piece of work I will be claiming P1 and P2. I am taking part in organising an event in my business class and we have split ourselves into three teams and we have chosen what type of event we are going to organise; we have chosen to plan an afternoon tea. Our event is going to be a fundraising event because we are going to send all our profits to a charity. I have carried out some research on finding out what the role of an events organiser are and what skills they use; this research is made up of internet research and class discussions. What is an Events Organiser? An events organiser is someone who organises an event and they have many different responsibilities; they are responsible for the planning of the event all the way through to the completion of the event. Their events can range from exhibitions, to conferences, to product launches. An events organiser will work with people in different sectors and their work is usually done within a team and is hand-on. They must be able to have a wide range of skills because they will have to complete a wide range of activities; time keeping and working under pressure is an essential as it is these skills that mean an event will be able to run smoothly and efficiently. What are the Roles of an events Organiser? The role of an events organiser will change......

The types of discriminatory practices Infringement of rights> To not respect a person/groups rights, to not let that person/group practices their chosen culture religious belifes. This can make the group or person feel devalued and could also affect their health. Example1>A nurse working with her co-workers feels downtrodden as all of her co-workers that she works closely with are christains. As they do not share the same religious beliefs they do not let her practices her religious beliefs around them, as they only respect their own beliefs and no others. This can lead to the nurse to suffer low self-esteem and isolated from her co-works who are not treating her equally. Example2> Jane has moved to a new care home where she is starting her new job, While on her shift she hears her co- worker discussing openly another services users confidently file and is now gossiping about her findings. The same lady also prevents the services user she is gossiping about from watching TV programmes she enjoys .This could cause the service user to become withdrawn from engaging with others and joining in on activates in the care home. P2 Btec Business Assignment

...P2 - Influence on organisation by Stakeholders Stakeholders | John Lewis | Cystic Fibrosis Trust | Employees | Employees play an integral part and have a massive influence over John Lewis as both as an organisation in the public eye and as a business trying to gain profit. This is because if without employees you don’t have a company. So, John Lewis has to try its utmost hardest to keep all parties within their corporation happy. That means fair salary, holiday days, terms of sick pay etc. And without customers, there will be no one at the tills, no one to stack shelves, no one in the bakery or deli sections and no one running the floor they work on. | Employees play a big role in the forward-movement of the CFT as they are the ones that are, actually in person, to provide the service given by the trust. Whether this is through care, activities etc. it is a major reason to keep staff happy so they can carry on producing a great service for the people suffering. | Customers | Customers are one of the most fluctuating factors for John Lewis as if the buyer doesn’t think the price is right they are going to go elsewhere, which puts John Lewis at a disadvantage and possible loss. | The trust doesn’t have that many customers, unless it is people buying their products such as t-shirts, wristbands and headbands. But customers aren’t as influential to the CFT as a substantial amount of their income is received from donations and government funding. | Investors/Donors |......
