1. It’s only me. Two ways to understand it. It can mean that he is lonely, and it can also mean the way they talk about it in the story that’s it is only him that has those problems. Problems like bully, drugs, bad childhood and neglect from his parents. He might think it is only him who got those problems but it isn’t. 2. First we hear about an 11-year old boy that threatened to kill the girl he liked and the boy who kissed her which is jealousy. Jealousy is very often the reason for murder. He told the police that he was just joking. Another 11-year old threatened to shoot his teachers tape player, and then the teacher. He didn’t like the music. Elizabeth Bush, who wanted to become a human rights activist or a nun, shot the head-cheerleader in the cafeteria. She did it to prove the other that she could do it. 3. One reason could be that the parents think that their children wouldn’t do such a horrible thing. The parents often choose to overlook the problems, and look the other way. The parents often don’t know when the children got problems. The school doesn’t notify the parents if anything is wrong. 4. I do agree with the statement. When an accident happens, and a plane crashes it can shock all people. They feel scared of flying. It is the same with school shootings. They are very rare, but when it happens it will scare many people. 5. They are mentioned, because they were the ones who made the most famous school shooting. They also gave the students the shorthand “Are you going to…...

...“The difficulty in life is the choice”, 1 100% agree with this quote George Moore indeed would have gotten a vote from me when it came to come true this actually is. To explain his quote in other words; he’s stating the hardships and difficultly in life can most likely be avoided , you step into it and enhance it more that’s where the difficulty comes in which in some many ways could have probably be avoided . The book “Twelve Angry Men” by Reginald Roses is definitely a prime example of chosen difficulty when in many ways it could have been avoided. The teenager in the book “Twelve Angry Men” was on trial for the manslaughter of his own father. In my opinion that teen was all the way guilty. But majority of the 12 jurors saw him as innocent. Some pledged his innocence by justifying the manslaughter by saying he was “ a product of his environment” , claiming the boy grew up in the slums , had it bad all his life , from the robbing’s to the car theft even the stabbing his was involved in with another teen. But let’s be real it wasn’t mandatory for this teen to do those things. In all reality that young boy did those wrong doing himself all by his lonesome. Of course probably his environment gave him ideas and the thoughts in his head, but let’s thinks did the environment put the knife in his hand and forced him to kill his father? No right, so why the environment is the one to blame when it came to this boy reasons for killing his own father? No one lead him down the path of...

It's Only Me

...It’s Only Me The article ”It’s Only Me” is written by Nancy Gibbs in April 7th 2008. Nancy Gibbs wrote this article because of the school shootings in the US. The boy Charles Andrew Williams shot at his school in Santee, California and the surrender in the boy’s locker room. His last sentence was “it’s only me” and is just a hint for the police to not search for any other possible backer. Nancy Gibbs writes “no it’s not only you” because she points at the other 16 kids who were inspired by Williams and made the same kind of shooting at schools in the 48 hours after Williams’ shooting at the school in Santee, California. Nancy Gibbs is controversial about the fact that any boy, girl, man or woman can go to the local arms dealer and buy the biggest handgun you can look in the showcase. You have to be registered in the arms dealer, but in some cases it is seen before the buyers just went down and bought the weapon without any problems and then went home as all the other American citizens. If you want any problem solved do it yourself then. You can easily handle those sorts of problems on your own hand in the US. They are allowed to have weapons in their car or house in case of any protection is needed. Unfortunately this is being taken advantage of in many cases instead. Indirectly Williams has inspired the other 16 kids to do school shootings because of his lack of anger management. This is going too far and can easily happen in the future because of the US’ weapon law. If......

... But for the older group of sports fanatics and people who are looking for a cold one with the boys or with the gals, tagging on the phrase "Wings, Beer, and your favorite sports". We will use these different phrases with the places that we are going to advertise to these specific targets, which we will get to next. The first type of media we are going to use is event sponsorship to reach to sports fanatics and older men and women. Year around there are bowling leagues and softball leagues and soccer leagues that need to have team sponsors in order to pay for their equipment. This would be a perfect way to get our logo on a jersey and to promote coming to hang out after the game. I know that if I was sponsored by Buffalo Wild Wings that me and the boys would head to our sponsors place after the game. My personal favorite that we are going to do is our support media outdoor signage on route 24 targeting the flowing traffic coming from Fort Wayne, IN and Toledo, OH. There are going to be ten signs involved, five coming from either direction. One sign will be placed at the 69-24 loop and the other placed at the 75-24 loop just stating the Buffalo Wild Wings logo and promotion for Defiance, OH....

Only the Lonely

...Only the Lonely Frankenstein is Mary Shelley's most notable piece of work, written when she was only eighteen years old. The novel explores the theme of loneliness and rejection. The monster created by Victor Frankenstein is rejected by human society because of his appearance. Mary Shelley explores the feelings of how the creature is utterly ignored and abused by the society. I believe the novel became a reflection of the inner state of Mary Shelly. It reflects sufferings and loses that occurred in the own authors life. As notes Anthony Badalamenti in his article Why did Mary Shelley Write Frankenstein: “She was also the product of her own past, suffering three successive losses in her early life that reveal why themes of being alone and abandoned run through the novel”(Badalamenti, 431). All these sad events and constant feeling of loneliness helped Mary to create a very deep and powerful character. Victor does not think about possible results of his experiments. He does not think what will happen when he finally succeeds and created a living creature. He is severely punished by his attitude when the creature created by him turns into a monster. Shelley illustrates that the guilt for murders can not be put only on Frankenstein's creation. Society and social norms finally result in the feeling of loneliness and estrangement. “The monster complains that his maker and mankind are moving his nature from goodness and benevolence to wrath and violence. He attempts the company of...

...to find the light switch which seems to avoid me. Light glaring into my poor, unaware pupils, I set my hands in warm-filled water. I bring my face alongside the running, sincere water. After hydration, I attempt to clear out the cow-licked hair-do; I reach for my sturdy, black comb and combat the cow’s drool! With no avail, I soon give up. I place my index finger on the power button of the high-powered, blue electric-shaver and trim the fur that guards my face from fierce colds. Next, I prime my toothbrush with invigorating, peppermint toothpaste and smoothly graze each special tooth. I then enrich my essence with refined, colorful fragrances. Widely awake, I dash toward the fridge and explore its contents. A glass of cold milk and protein bars fill me. The cocoa aroma of the breakfast bars surrounds me. I adore the refreshingly, cold liquid and chocolaty sweetness of the bars. After finishing my feast, a text from a classmate notifies me to leave for school. Soon after leaving my house, I started my silver Cadillac then drove to pick up a classmate and head to class together. Finally, we arrive at school just to find no available parking. Irritated by no available space, I realize that I’m going to be late to class. I’m seriously ticked off; I just need to get to class on time. I’m running, as if my last name was Bolt, toward my school building. I take no time to greet any securities or friends I run into. At this point I only have less than a minute to make it to class......

...Went from a white powder and clear liquid to a small amount of solid grain-like mas and more clear liquid, albeit the liquid had lots of granules floating around in it (presumably from the solid) Calculated Data * Change in Enthalpy: -13.0kJ * Maximum Temperature Reached (Legitimately): 44.4oC (+ 5.00%) * Theoretical Temperature Change: +53.1oC * Calculated Temperature Change: +25.3oC (+ 5.00%) (after 52.7 seconds) Evaluation What is the temperature change of the reaction between 5.00g NaCl and 50mL HCl? We performed this little experiment of ours to answer the above question, and find said temperature change. Sadly enough, our results didn’t make as much sense as we would have liked; our total temperature change was only at +25.3oC while our theoretical change was over twice that amount. Our systematic error came out to approximately 52.4%, and the random at 10.5%. As those bits of information would lead one to believe, our systematic error was the key factor here (rather than the random error). And, from that, we can deduce that our synthetic value is NOT an accurate representation because our systematic error outweighed our random error. If you were to ask one of us as to where all this error came from, we’d all easily agree that it was our own human error. For one thing, we neglected to record the temperature of the NaCl and HCl before the reaction began; while they should have been at room temperature, the change that occurred in the time between our...

English Only

...so I would feel out of place there and would not be able to function like I do in the United States because there is a language barrier. How would I go about solving this problem if I truly wanted to go to Paris? I would fully immerse myself in the French language and culture because it would be the fastest way for me to learn the language. An hour or two a day of French would not profit much in me learning because I would rely on the language I am using the most to get me through the day. Were as if I were required to speak and use French only I would be forced to become more familiar with French ultimately using it fluently. This is the point of many state debates about English-only. Many states have educated students from different countries with a bilingual approach for many years. They have been taught in their native language for a majority of their school day and have been learning English as a second language. How can we expect students to learn a language that they are not required to use or understand for the majority of their school day? California is one of a few states that have passed a law to provide education to immigrate students in English only. “Proposition 227 was a California ballot proposition passed in the June 2, 1998 ballot” (Wikipedia The Free Encyclopedia 2011). It ended bilingual education programs in the state and replaced them with the Structured English Immersion model. This provided students with a one-year program in English and then......

Don’t worry I will be there though you making me fastened and lice. Remember me! Begging you to please give me chance Airielle. “ >>>>>Austine Curl Xiu The reason why people hated to be with someone is that, they cannot find themselves a private way to express their own emotions and expressions. Other people might says, “Better to be with someone who will make you happy”, what if the reason why you prefer to be alone is that someone who you want to be with is always ignoring you when you need his help or let say his affection and belongingness is not unto you. What if every time you go for, is just like you’re a wind and crap to that person? How can you stay and find time to reassure that he will give you more time to talk with your problems or flaws either? How should you see yourself to be trapped and when you fall asleep the only thing you can imagine is your already dead without knowing and feel it? Me, Me Me

...In January 2008 a British journalist, Sarfraz Manzoor, wrote an article with the title “Me, Me, Me” that appeared in the magazine “Esquire”. He gives his opinion on how the phenomenon “New Narcissism” has its influences on today’s society through the Internet. And he leaves us with the impression that there is a reason to be worried about today's youth being more narcissistic than ever before. Narcissism is not new for us. New Narcissism is a modern version of the phenomenon narcissism. And it has been known since ancient Greece with the Greek myth about Narcissus that fell in love with his own reflection in the water. The man that got narcissism recognized as a medical condition was Sigmund Freud (l. 53). But in our age, the word, narcissism, does not seem that serious and is mostly defined as a phenomenon. This New Narcissism has come to life because society reproduces itself (l. 59). And growing numbers of people are more narcissistic according to a study performed by psychologists. Sarfraz Manzoor, who has written this article, describes that New Narcissism is the offspring of today’s society. He makes an example by including a person named Chris Crocker. Crocker became famous because he put a video on the Internet where he defended the celebrity Britney Spears. There can be two reasons for his behaviour. Is he doing this to tell people that they shall back off and because he is fond of her? Or is he doing this to get attention? But it does not seem as if Britney is......
