Questions
Question: Which section of the school did you evaluate?

Answer: I did the business room because Ms.Seepersad assigned us that. Room 202 aka Business room.

Question: What was the Average Score for the space you surveyed? What does this number mean to you?

My average was 5.4. This number means to me that this is a good room but not a perfect room to work in.

Question: How would you describe the section of the school you evaluated?

Answer:

Lighting: The rating I gave the lighting was a 5 because the lights are good because you can see what’s going on in the classroom. On the other hand the lighting is not good because most of them are dull and some of the lights don’t even work. To make it ergonomically correct you have change the lights to make it brighter (not too bright).

Air Quality: The rating I gave the air quality was a 7. This is because the air circulation only by the vents. The bad thing about it is that you can’t open the windows, so less air circulation. To make it ergonomically correct you would have to have a classroom that can have the windows open and you can get air filters.

Temperature: The rating I gave the temperature was a 6 because sometimes the room is cool enough to work in but sometimes it gets too cold too work in. You have to wear a sweater. This problem can be fixed because in the summer time you can have fan on and in the winter time you can have the heat on then all the problems will…...

My My Life Impact

...At a very young age I had to grow up fast and help my mom out with the kids. It was five of us at the time, our dad went to prison and left my mom with everything. When my mom went to work I had to be a mom when she was not there at times. I had to put away my teenage ways and become a parent. It was very hard at times because my sister's and brother had respect for me instead of our mom. I got devastated at times, but I pulled it together. I had no life because I was being a parent to my siblings. In high school I was a very troubled teenager who did not have a sense of direction. My grades were not good the first 3 years of school; it was up and down from there; but I always got through it somehow. My last year of school I pulled it together and made honor roll the whole entire year. At the end of the year I received a reward for my accomplishment. At that moment I felt very important that year. After High school I enrolled in college as a criminal justice major, everything came back to me and I fell in the same situation that I was in when I was back home. When I left home to go to college that was the first time I felt like I was on my own, I did not have to be a parent anymore, and I was only responsible for myself. The two years that I had attended I was not ready for college. My focus was having a life because it was taken from me as a child. I enjoyed being a free with no curfew . The school suspended for six months, I never went back to school. At that very moment......

...Essay: The Happiest Day of Your Life Life changing decisions isn’t easy, especially not when somebody wants to make them for you and not guide you. Your future is entirely decided by someone else. When silence seems like it couldn’t be any louder and nobody takes notice. This will be my interpretation of the novel named The Happiest Day of Your Life by Penelope Lively. The novel is written in third person narrative, an example of that would be in the beginnig when the narrator describes the setting the boy and his family are in. We hear about the characters different actions and feelings but the narrator doesn’t comment on them, which makes it omniscient without comments. The narrator describes Charlie directly in the beginning of the novel, where the mother is described through her comments and behavior. Modes that are used are direct and indirect conversations and descriptions of different settings. The novel takes place in St. Edward’s Preparatory School in the suburbs of London. The novel begins and ends in the car. The parents are very excited and the atmosphere in the car is quite tense. It differs from Charlie to the parents. Charles doesn’t seem to care much about the interview, since he doesn’t say a word. On the other hand his parents talk a lot about the headmaster and the school. The mother even says “I could do with a drink. Hope they lay something on” (p. 61, 10). It seems like she wants to relieve some of her nerves throughout the interview. The......

...Things Fall Apart “As a young man of eighteen he had brought honour to his village by throwing Amalinze the Cat.” (Page 3) From the very beginning of the novel the author sets the violent tone. In this brief paper I will bring an article and parts of the novel together to explain a common ground in colonization, which involves violets’. Using, Achebe’s “Things Fall Apart” and Fanon’s ideas, The Wretched of the Earth I will bring two powerful pieces together to explain colonization. Many of the characters suffer from fear of some sort. Okonkwo who is the novel’s protagonist fears becoming like his lazy, shameful father. “He (Okonkwo) was not afraid of war. He was a man of action, a man of war. Unlike his father he could stand the look of blood. In Umuofia’s latest war he was the first to bring home a human head.”(Page 8) Also, Reputation is extremely important to the men in the novel as well. The ankle bracelets men wear that signify the number of titles they have earned publicly denote personal reputation. Reputation is based on merit; men gain reputation through bravery in battle, skill at wrestling, and hard work as seen through the size of their yam harvest. Reputation earns men positions of power and influence in the community as well as numerous wives. Okonkwo is extremely concerned with reputation because he grew up with a father who was shameful and lazy which I stated before. “For showing matchless courage and prowess on the battlefield, Ezeudu is......

Is My House My Home?

...Goguen 1 Evangeline Goguen Professor Laurie Cooper English 1041 15 October 2013 Is My House My Home? For as long as I can remember I’ve lived in the same 100 year old house. It was the place where I experienced so many firsts: my first play date, my first sleepover, my first kiss, and my first heartbreak. I never thought I’d be excited to leave, but as the years passed, that house didn’t feel like home anymore. The house sat on 5 acres of land; I had a view of the field in the backyard from my bedroom window. I would sit and stare at the long grass, as the wind would make it dance. The front flowerbeds were always weeded no matter how much it hurt my mother’s back. The pain was worth it to see the vibrant colors of spring’s first bloom. In the backyard, an old mice-infested barn that sat there uselessly was converted into a cottage. It was like a home away from home. Moving on to the inside of the house, through that annoying door that never closed properly, there was the kitchen. The yellow walls made the place seem cheerful and the cherry wood cabinets added some warmth. There was no dinning room; there was simply an eat-in kitchen. Many dinners, few that were satisfying, have been served on that glass top table. On the other side of the kitchen, two rocking chairs facing each other were placed beside the window. We were a family of three so it was a race to see who would have to pull up an extra chair. I always lost since I was the child. We had countless......

...almost a year ago. I will tell this story, the story of my trip to the bloody battle fields that held hundreds of soldiers, where you can still feel the sorrow of the deaths, where you might hear battle cries, and even see those famous blue and grey uniforms on ghostly soldiers. Gettysburg! It all started with my mother talking about some insane idea to go on a trip back east. She said that we would someday go on this trip, maybe within year or two. I thought it was never going to happen. Three months later, those months filled with talk about it, my mom told me that we would go in April. I could hardly believe what she was telling me. I didn’t believe it so much, that, on April first I thought she was going to say, “April Fools! We aren’t really going on the trip”. That never happened though, and before I knew it we were going on the long plane and train ride. Yes, I said planes and trains. This trip consisted of all transportations, Planes, Trains, and Automobiles. It was really crazy. We even time traveled! Well, not really, but when we were in the plane we crossed some vortex that sent us three hours in the future. Other than that, the traveling part of it was really boring. We landed in Baltimore, Maryland. I couldn’t believe that we were on the other side of the county. It all looked the same, it really confused me. After gathering my thoughts and realizing where I was. I and my mother needed to find the train station. ...

My Max My Story

...My Max My Story --- February 2, 1984 – January 4. 2014 Day 1 -You really can live when your heart has exploded into a million pieces January 4, 2014 ~ I missed a called from Monya getting a call from her is the norm. We had been on vacation for the holiday and were just heading down 101 heading for the 5 back to Sacramento. Well I tried to return Monya’s call and it was busy. So I was calling my voice mail, when her calls comes in so switched over. My world as I know is forever changed. She is distraught crying and telling me you are gone, as in you’re dead. You need to understand Max; this is not how it is supposed to be. I could accept it when my dad died back in 2001. I was devastated because I loved him and thought I would have him in my life forever. But he was the dad and he had lived a good long life. I still miss him, but the pain is minimal. But my son nothing about your dying makes any sense to me. You were 29 years old. You were brilliant, you were such a kind, generous soul, you were beautiful and you were loved so much by so many. Life went downhill from that moment in time, first I had to break this to your dad. You well know we are the kind of couple that reacts to any given situation with more hostility then love. Driving 75 hours a mile down a 4 lane freeway is not the place to destroy someone’s life. So it is my first thought that we have to get off the freeway, so I started yelling for him to get off the freeway. You know your dad......

...Savan Patel The most common and unnecessary form of infanticide is an abortion. The abortion rate of America alone is shockingly high and yet increases every year. So why are so many women choosing to end the lives of unborn babies that weren’t even given the chance to live? For most women, the reason is social issues: they may not feel ready or prepared to have a baby, they may be too young or they just view their pregnancy as a mistake. No matter the reason, abortions are not acceptable and we, as Americans, should fight as hard as we can to diminish them just like we would, murder or terrorism. Since abortions have become such an everyday procedure, scientists and physicians have developed many ways to perform them. One way, if the fetus is 12 to 14 weeks old, being through the use of vacuum aspiration equipment. After the women’s cervix is dilated with steel rods, the surgeon forces the cervix open little by little until it is wide enough for contents to be removed through it. A syringe especially designed for these procedures creates a vacuum inside the women and the suction pulls the contents out of the uterus, including the fetus, so that it is on the outside. For the last step, the physician makes sure to scrape the walls of the uterus using a curette and once he is finished, the women is once again without child. Performing an abortion anytime after this period can be dangerous because by this time the uterus and blood vessels are much larger, and if these fluids...
