Abstract
Effective communication will increase productivity in business meetings. It is the oil that greases the business machinery. When one cannot communicate effectively, business meetings are unsuccessful. The competitive environment demands that communication should be prompt and more informal than ever before. Communication methods are among those that workers find most vital, and they play a major role in each functional field of business. Strong verbal communication skills are just as necessary as writing skills to help a person to…...

My Paper on Things and Stuff

...Active Directory structure and Domain Controller configuration: DHCP We will be using DHCP for wireless devices. All other devices (servers, printers, lab PCs, switches) will receive static IPs as they will all be permanent fixtures. I have DHCP enabled on both DC’s with a split-scope configured for the wireless address pool. This will help with load-balancing and will ensure that if DC1 goes down, wireless devices will still be able to receive an IP address from DC2. Active Directory Users and Computers User Groups are located under the Users container. All users will be in the Domain Users group, and then will be added to Domain Admins, Server Admins, Faculty, or Students based on role. Guest users will be added to Domain Guests. User accounts are generated with first initial, last name, and a number to distinguish duplicates (e.g. Anthony Matthews becomes amatthews001) Domain Controllers will remain in the Domain Controllers OU, Servers will be in the Servers OU, and workstations will be under the workstations OU in the OU that corresponds to their physical location (i.e. lab 1-3) This will allow us to apply GPOs to all devices based on location and role. Domain Controllers are WestSideDC01 and WestSideDC02, Lab machines are named with Lab name and an assigned number (e.g. Lab1PC1) Group Policy Management Currently I have the following options configured with group policy: Server Admins – adds the Server Admins security group to the Administrators......

Five Litte Things for My Country

...Five Little Things We Can Do for My Country 5 Little Things WE Can Do to Help our Country I believe that in order to help our country be a better place to live in, it has to start in helping ourselves to be better individuals first. We have to keep in mind at all times that everything we do, even the smallest ones has something to do with our country, so we might act responsibly as well. Here are the 5 little things we may not be aware of but can be a great help:  1.Obey your parents A good community starts in a good family. The way we are at home reflects to what we are in a bigger environment. Before we become good followers in the laws, we are followers at home first.  We become better if we always obey our parents. Our parents only want us to be successful in the future and so, listening to them will help us achieve our goals.Their words are always the best guide for us to be molded into a responsible, caring citizen.    2.Throw your garbage properly.  It’s just a matter of discipline. Let’s us help promote the cleanliness of our society, even nobody’s looking.   We have to respect our country before anybody else does.    3.Treat everyone like a brother or sister of your own. We have to treat our co-Filipinos the way we treat our own siblings. Let’s avoid getting a crab-mentality and be happy for the achievements of others instead of pulling them down. Let them be our inspiration to help ourselves rise. Let’s always help, forgive and love each other. 4.Do......

My Favourite Thing

...My Favourite Thing I have a lot of favourite things but there is one specially thing I would like to write about. That is music. Music can be used to express yourself. In religion are they also using songs to pray. I am not the greatest singer actually I can not sing. I love to listen to music. I love to listen to almost every genre of music but I do not like to listen to classic music because that makes me fall asleep. The reason I love to listen to music is because music can describe what you feel. Just for example if you just broke up with your boyfriend or girlfriend then there are many songs that can describe what you feel and sometimes it just touches your heart. Music can also be a lifesaver in an awkward situation. It can example be if you are driving a car and there is a awkward silence between you and your partner then music can save the awkward silence. Songs can describe what you feel. When you are sad and tired then you can listen to music so it can brighten up your day. You can deliver a message with a song. A song can be as beautiful as a poem. It can tell you a life story just in 3-4 minutes. For every song there is a certain place where you were when you listened to the song and it can bring memories back. Not all of the songs are great today. Some of the songs are so catchy but the lyrics do not make any sense just like ‘’Gangnam Style’’. Not many people know what he sings but they still sing along. Music is universal and that is also one of the reasons......

...the universe has a purpose (telos) just like a watch has a purpose (to tell time). For example, the purpose of a human heart is to pump blood. [3] The Argument from Design Premise 1.If an object has a design then it must have a designer. (A watch, for example, could not have come into existence without a designer.) Premise 2. Nature has a design. (For example, the human heart has a specific design and function.) Conclusion 1.Therefore nature has a designer. Conclusion 2.The designer of nature is God. We can walk through these premises. Premise One is the major premise of the argument. It instructs us to look at something that is unknown to us and determine if there is any kind of “design” in that thing. Paley’s main example is a watch. We all recognize that the gears of a watch are designed to turn hands in order that we know what time it is. But the premise asserts something very strong at this point: It says that any object that has design must have a designer. Premise Two of the argument claims that nature has a design. One supporting example would be the organs of the human body. The human eye has a clear purpose: to allow the body to see. For all (or nearly all) of the organs of the human body we can give a similar explanation. The second premise also asserts that nature as a whole has a design. This is a bit harder to prove than each organ having a function. But think of the oxygenation cycle. Plants breathe in......

The World, My Butt, and Other Big Round Things

...Within the book The Earth, My Butt, and Other Big Round Things, I felt as I was sitting with Virginia listening to her tell me this story in which I became enraged with anger, sadness, and also proud of her. A teenager with self-confidence issues is not out of the ordinary, but parents that contribute to it is absurd and depressing. The perfect family in which Virginia feels like she is not a part of, huge body issues, feeling alone at school and then her world is flipped upside down by her brother’s date rape really got to me in many ways. The view that Virginia portrays of her family is less than perfect which is the complete opposite of what the family believes they are. I was absolutely annoyed with the family life her Mom pretends they have. Byron puts himself above her, and chooses to treat her as he does not care for her. With her Mom being a psychologist, I cannot understand why she always seems to put her other kids in a separate category than Virginia is in. From this, I actually have caught myself making sure that I treat all of my kids fairly. In my own life, I was the youngest and never really had any issues with my parents favoring my brothers over me but I have questioned myself with my own kids. I have always done my best at trying to make everything equal for them. Having kids of my own, I have seen an array of issues with all of them. I am completely supportive of their choices in clothing and whatever their size. Virginia’s parents and......

...Each event in my life has shaped me to be who I am now I suppose! Of all things, my first event, being born probably shaped me the most, literally! In reality though, being born in 1996 means I am the youngest of my family of eight people. I definitely have earned my sociological youngest child traits by growing up with everyone, and my only child traits of being the only child living in my house for the past three years. These were pretty much ascribed status and event of my life. Starting kindergarten is the next event on my timeline. I put kindergarten on here because it was a whole new atmosphere for me. I was mostly only used to being around people older than me. I never attended much daycare, maybe once or twice a week. I never went to preschool, and I only knew a few kids there. I remember being excited and nervous. I was pretty shy the first few hours! I met my best friend on that first day of school, although I didn’t know it until a few days later that we would be best friends! At first I hated her because I thought she was stealing my best friend neighbor, Emma Eubanks. It turned out great though because we were absolutely inseperatable for many, many years. In second grade I had to take speech classes for a little while because I had a lisp. It was so embarrassing to leave class for that! It made me feel stupid because I was normally one that always excelled in class. In the 3th grade I began challenge/TAG programs. That made me feel pretty......

One Thing That Changed My Life

...us a long way on the road to self discovery. Although I have just started my journey of self discovery, probably with my own colored glasses, this is my effort to share my journey so forth with you. As per the UN Report India has the largest youth population of 356 million ,10-24 year olds. In this mammoth population, it is not unusual to meet a youngster like me, in late teens, still confused about my career choice, my love choices. Unsure about my dreams and as to what I want from life. I read in biology that every individual possesses their own unique DNA sequence or genes, like fingerprints. This give them a unique identity. However apart from my biological uniqueness in this teeming population there are people around me –my family and friends –who think I am very special. So for reasons still unknown to me these people around me remind me that I am a special person not only because I have a unique set of genes. My mother tells me “the best thing about you is you”. Today I want to share a small experience which might not be big for someone but is a big one for me, I had my internship break in the month of November and as this was the first project of the new college being completely cluessless about it and being a beginner in the field of law I chose Jaipur to do my internship as it is my hometown which was my main concern that I would get a good 45 days break to sit and relax at home. As it was my first internship I chose to do it in an NGO named Shakti Stambh which......

A grant of £1300 was awarded for purchasing software such as Comic Life for Windows, Moviemaker and Audacity. It also covered the cost of training in the use of these products. Using digital cameras and Dictaphones Contact: Caroline Davis The plan here was to run 5 sessions with a group of 16+ year olds using digital camera equipment and Dictaphones. They will take the role of reporters and photographers. The first 3 sessions incorporated skills such as following verbal and written instructions, writing, editing and proof reading, using describing words to identify things which are going on in photographs. The learners were encouraged to use storyboard techniques to create a comic or write up a news article about the trips they have gone one. Two trips were planned to Raceland and the football. As well as learning how to operate digital cameras and then putting this into practice on outings, they also learned how to operate Dictaphones, speaking into Dictaphones and microphones, reading from scripts and conducting interviews in the local community. The learners were given the choice on the final session to either create a podcast, publish a blog on the internet or create a movie using the photographs and sounds recorded. The Most Important Thing in My Life

...Important Thing In My Life When I need someone to laugh and have fun with — someone to learn from; or just someone to talk to — I have my whole family with me to do so. I know that my mom, my dad, my sister, and my brother will always be there for me when I need someone to be with when I’m not feeling like myself — and I know they will be patient and try to empathize with what I might be feeling. I believe that family is the most important thing in one’s life. My brother helps me to have fun, my sister listens to what I have to say, my mom teaches me to be patient, and my dad tells me to be curious and open-minded. I take in all of this and think how lucky I am. My dad always tells my brother, my sister, and me that family is most important, and that family should always come first before others. His belief influenced me greatly. What he says makes me stop and think. My dad and my mom have family overseas, hundreds and hundreds of miles away in Cambodia. My dad has been without his biological mother and siblings for about thirty-four years, since the separation during when the Khmer Rouge was taking over Cambodia from 1975-1979. In 2004, we all went to Cambodia to visit the rest of my family, who I barely knew. I try to empathize with what it would be like without my little brother, my sister, and my parents, but all the same, it was very hard to imagine. This experience of taking a moment to empathize with what it would be like in some else’s shoes, made me look at my......
