...outcome of the research, this is called the observer effect. The researcher might be influenced by the participants or his or her own experiences, this is called observer bias. Non participant observations are observed at distance and so the observer has to build a result based on his or her own perception of the observation which could make the results inaccurate. A structured observation might affect the participants due to the controlled environment, and by the fact that they are being watched which means it lacks ecological validity, as it could be argued that a controlled situation is not a real life situation. The observer might be bias due to their own experiences. Could be costly to set up. The unstructured observation is only used as a first step. The naturalistic study could be a breach of confidentiality as the observed, do not know they are being watched and so permission for the observation has not been given. Mary Ainsworth (1913-1999) Ainsworth and Bell Mary Ainsworth studied the individual differences in attachment in 1970 and created a technique called strange situation classification. All the families involved were middle class Americans. Strange situation classification investigates the attachment of a child to the person who cares for them day to day i.e.; mother usually. Measuring the nature of attachment, the differences between children of the ages between 12 and 18 months old assessing attachment behaviours using a semi......

Problems like bully, drugs, bad childhood and neglect from his parents. He might think it is only him who got those problems but it isn’t. 2. First we hear about an 11-year old boy that threatened to kill the girl he liked and the boy who kissed her which is jealousy. Jealousy is very often the reason for murder. He told the police that he was just joking. Another 11-year old threatened to shoot his teachers tape player, and then the teacher. He didn’t like the music. Elizabeth Bush, who wanted to become a human rights activist or a nun, shot the head-cheerleader in the cafeteria. She did it to prove the other that she could do it. 3. One reason could be that the parents think that their children wouldn’t do such a horrible thing. The parents often choose to overlook the problems, and look the other way. The parents often don’t know when the children got problems. The school doesn’t notify the parents if anything is wrong. ...

...Richman Investments “Internal Use Only” data classification standard Tamara Beecher December 16, 2013 Internal use only – Information or data shared internally by an organization. While confidential information or data may not be included, communications are not intended to leave the organization. This report is designed to describe clarify the standards for the “Internal use only” data classification for Richman Investments, this report will address which IT infrastructure domains are affected by the standard and how. The first IT infrastructure affected by the Internal Use Only classification is the User Domain. The User Domain defines the people who access an organization’s information system. The User Domain also will enforce an acceptable use policy (AUP) to define what each user can and cannot do with any company data shall he or she have access to it. As well as with company users, any outsider contractor or third-party representatives shall also need to agree and comply with the AUP. Any violation will be taken up with company executives and/or the authorities to assess further punitive action. Workstation Domain- is where most users connect to the IT infrastructure. M Ssozi Abstract: Efficient conduct of monetary policy in a currency union demands that partner states have similar business cycles, inflation convergence and strong economic ties. The first essay investigates inflation convergence, which is important for a number of reasons: avoiding inflation bias and is an indicator of structural similarities. The essay goes beyond the traditional pairwise unit root tests and applies an unobserved dynamic factor model to test asymmetry in inflation variation. Convergence is measured by the percentage of variation in inflation that is common across countries. The results suggest inflation convergence in the EAC. The main contribution of this essay is the use of an unobserved component model to estimate the degree of inflation convergence in the EAC. The second essay investigates the degree of business cycle synchronization and the evolution of synchronization over time. Inflation......

Download this chapter can be applied to internal work orders, formal agreements, and contracts between organizational units within a single entity. Planning for Procurement Procurement planning is the process of identifying which part of the project should be procured from resources outside of the organization. Generally, procurement decisions are made early on in the planning processes. Procurement planning centers on four elements: ■ Whether or not procurement is needed ■ What to procure ■ How much to procure ■ When to procure Planning for Procurement 3 Referring to the Scope Statement The project’s scope statement serves an input to making procurement decisions. Because the project scope statement defines the project work, and only the required work, to complete the project, it also defines the limitations of the project. Knowing these limits of what the project includes can help the project manager, the contract specialists, or other procurement professional, determine what needs to be purchased and what does not. Referring to the Product Description The product description defines the details and requirements for acceptance of the project. This information also serves as valuable input to what needs to be procured— and to what does not. The product description defines what the end result of the project will be. When dealing with vendors to procure a portion of the project, the work to be procured must support the requirements of the project customer. A......

Only the Lonely

...Only the Lonely Frankenstein is Mary Shelley's most notable piece of work, written when she was only eighteen years old. The novel explores the theme of loneliness and rejection. The monster created by Victor Frankenstein is rejected by human society because of his appearance. Mary Shelley explores the feelings of how the creature is utterly ignored and abused by the society. I believe the novel became a reflection of the inner state of Mary Shelly. It reflects sufferings and loses that occurred in the own authors life. As notes Anthony Badalamenti in his article Why did Mary Shelley Write Frankenstein: “She was also the product of her own past, suffering three successive losses in her early life that reveal why themes of being alone and abandoned run through the novel”(Badalamenti, 431). All these sad events and constant feeling of loneliness helped Mary to create a very deep and powerful character. Victor does not think about possible results of his experiments. He does not think what will happen when he finally succeeds and created a living creature. He is severely punished by his attitude when the creature created by him turns into a monster. Shelley illustrates that the guilt for murders can not be put only on Frankenstein's creation. Society and social norms finally result in the feeling of loneliness and estrangement. “The monster complains that his maker and mankind are moving his nature from goodness and benevolence to wrath and violence. He attempts the company of...

...Download from Yahoo! Update 2014/05/18: Yahoo! has switch to a new design for their movie pages. The underlying download mechanism hasn’t changed. Once you find the content_id (sometimes called the media_id), you’ll just need to follow the instructions below. I’ll try and find sometime later this week to update this tutorial. Update 2013/04/06: Finally found time to explain how to download using their new system. Do be warned though, the instructions can get rather complicated and is not for the weak-minded. Update 2012/12/23: Yahoo! has once again changed their API and the way to get the direct download URL this time is a lot more complicated. Hopefully I will find some time to update this tutorial shortly. Update 2012/01/21: Yahoo! has revamped their site and I’ve generated a quick tutorial on how to download HD trailers using their new site. The instructions are a bit rough, so if you need clarification, please feel free to ask in the comments area. This tutorial was meant to teach you how to download HD Trailers from Yahoo! Movies. Where to find the trailers: Yahoo! no longer has a dedicated page for HD trailers and they don’t easily distinguish which videos have HD and which don’t. You can visit their movie trailers page or find the movie you want and click on the Trailers tab. What to do once you’ve picked a trailer: Once you’ve picked a trailer, you’ll have to make sure you have a ‘video’ URL and not a ‘trailers’ URL. For example, the latest Carrie trailer can...

... Egypt Ancient Egypt is one of the first pristine states. Before Egypt there were many ancient civilizations that were considered secondary states and not pristine states. The secondary states only met some of the criteria needed, not all six. Egypt has been well documented in which it provided the ways of becoming a pristine state. The six criteria needed to become a pristine state were population pressure, intensification of agriculture, warfare, hereditary leader, storable grains, and impaction/circumscription. By becoming a pristine state in ancient times, it meant that Egypt would be a powerful civilization for many years. Egypt was one the first major pristine states in ancient times. Egypt was an ever growing population, which had population pressure from the need to support all of the people in the society. To be able to support the population, they needed to intensify the agricultural aspect of the society. Food is one of the basic needs for life to sustain itself, especially for all types of population. They used the Nile extensively for the water to help the production of crops. After they planted the crops there was a time of harvest in which they were able to gather food and store them for future use. They also had a hereditary leader because most, if not every Pharaoh had the throne passed from one generation to another. Warfare is also needed to expand the boundaries to help give more land to support a growing population. Egypt was also surrounded by deserts......

English Only

...on the language I am using the most to get me through the day. Were as if I were required to speak and use French only I would be forced to become more familiar with French ultimately using it fluently. This is the point of many state debates about English-only. Many states have educated students from different countries with a bilingual approach for many years. They have been taught in their native language for a majority of their school day and have been learning English as a second language. How can we expect students to learn a language that they are not required to use or understand for the majority of their school day? California is one of a few states that have passed a law to provide education to immigrate students in English only. “Proposition 227 was a California ballot proposition passed in the June 2, 1998 ballot” (Wikipedia The Free Encyclopedia 2011). It ended bilingual education programs in the state and replaced them with the Structured English Immersion model. This provided students with a one-year program in English and then place the students back in main stream education and provide them the resources to then catch up in other academic areas. With typical bilingual education a student may be separated from their peers for several years while learning English which encourages segregation in schools. Were proposition 227 suggest students only be separated from their peers for one year while learning English this places them back with their peers......
