Origins of American Criminal Law The 2nd Amendment is the right to bear arms. One of the most amendment since it was adopted in December of 1791. This amendment always people to keep and bear arms. The importance of this amendment is being felt even in modern day times with the recent shooting in Newtown, Connecticut. The debate on stricter gun laws was started when twenty-two children and six adults were shot and killed at Sandy Hook Elementary School, including the shooter’s mother. The argument of who should be able to have access to a gun and the type of gun erupted the nation. The Federal government has the power to enforce this amendment but the state has the right to make their own laws dealing with guns and who can have them. The state may put in place certain laws about gun regulations. The federal also has to the power to rule such unconstitutional. This way there is always a constant check and balance between the state and federal government.
The four goals of the criminal justice system are to stop people from committing crimes, protect society from people who can cause harm, to punish people who have committed crimes and to reform those people. These four goal keep our society in balance. Our police system enforces the law and tries to prevent people from committing crimes. Only states have the right to make laws based on their police power. The lawmaking power of the…...

Orgin of the Pinata

...History of the Piñata Today, most people think of piñatas as a party favor that is made of paper mache and clothed in bright colors that is filled with candy and toys. When it is busted with a stick, children scurry about to pick up the candy but, the Piñata has a much more rich history than just being a fun activity enjoyed by many. The foundation of the Piñatas may have originally originated in China, but at that time was not known as such. Not until the late 14th century when an Italian explorer by the name of Marco Polo visited China and was intrigued by the Chinese ritual that was practiced every New Year. He observed the Chinese people fashioning figures of shapes cut out of cows, oxen and buffaloes, they filled the shapes with seeds and then they covered the shapes with colored paper and adorned them with harnesses and trappings. They used a blend of special colors, to bring in the New Year. The figures were then hung high up and then knocked hard with colored sticks, the seeds spilled to the ground and the remains were burned and the people gathered the ashes for good luck for the New Year. This custom passed into Europe around about the 14th century where it was adapted into the celebration of Lent; the first Sunday became known as Piñata Sunday which is the first Sunday after Ash Wednesday. Around the 16th century this custom started to spread into Spain. Within the Spanish culture, the first Sunday that was known as lent became a fiesta, called ‘Dance of the......

Orgins of Vernacular

...Origins of the Vernacular Language American InterContinental University Abstract Until the sixteenth century Latin was known as the official language during the Middle Ages. Latin became less used as it was hard to read and to understand but through Latin the Vernacular language was created. Before the sixteenth century all textbooks and even the Bible were written in Latin creating a great diversity between the upper crust of society and the common people. When the Vernacular language was adapted from Latin and everyday people started learning to read and to write the Vernacular language became the most used language throughout the population. The Vernacular language impacted societies, religion, and the Latin language eventually making the language of Latin obsolete. Origins of the Vernacular Language The Vernacular language is called the language of romance as much of poetry was written in the language in early roman times. The Vernacular language is actually the native language or dialect of the Roman public. Vernacular language was derived from Latin and became the language for everyone to use and understand much like English is used today. Latin was the official language of many countries but became unused and later obsolete as the vernacular language developed. Latin was mainly used by people of import and education. People that were involved in the government and highborn people of status used Latin as well (Rise of the vernacular language). However, as......

Creation/Evolution on Orgin of Life

...Interview Paper The creationism-evolution debate has been on since men exist. It has a long history. In response to conclusions developed by evolution scientists, creationism scientists usually refute the legitimacy of their ideas that are opposite to the text of the Bible. There are many aspects that people would argue about. In this course, we focus on the origin of life. The purpose of this course is to provide a firm foundation for a consistent biblical worldview. After this course, we are supposed to give a correct and persuasive answer to anyone who asks why to believe that God created the universe. You cannot deny how much people are influenced by the evolutionary teaching in public school, on television, at museums… It is important to know where we came from and how we came here. We should all have a good understanding of origins from a biblical perspective of creation. At the beginning of the course, we were asked to interview at least three friends with questions of origins. I interviewed two Christian friends and one evolution friend. Both of the Christian friends absolutely believe in the Bible. They hold the same view that God created everything. In contrast, the evolution friend, who goes to public school, believes that human beings were not created by God. They answered my questions totally differently. The first question is how long the days are in Genesis 1 and why. Both Christians said one day was 24 hours long because it is clearly stated in the......

...company to have employees whose native tongue is a language other than English. In some work places this has caused problems. For example two cashiers chat with one another in Spanish while dealing with English speaking only customers. A customer can later complain about the rude behavior. To avoid these types of situations from occurring, some employers adopted a speak English only policy. The employers that decide to put this policy in to play must now consider the complaints that can be made against them for discrimination based on national origin and a violation of Title VII of the Civil Rights Act found on www.eeoc.gov which protects individuals against employment discrimination on the bases of color and or race as well as national orgin....

Salsa Dancing

...Salsa Dancing Salsa Dancing Orgins Derived from the Spanish word for “sauce”, the dance is aptly named for the flavor or spicy technique upon which it actually centers upon. Salsa dancing has origin from Cuba where the blending of African drum rhythms and Spanish guitar evolved into a variety of Latin American music. Out of this music came the dances we know today as: Son, Danzon, the rhythms of Carnival, Cha, cha, cha, Mambo, Tango, and Salsa. Salsa is based on Cuban styles that had developed in the ‘30s, ‘40s and ‘50s. In the ‘60s and ‘70s the salsa spread to other parts of Latin America like Colombia and Venezuela. Throughout the ‘70s, in an area in south-west Colombia called “Metropolis”, emerged as an important new center for salsa dance and music. This area was known as “the world salsa capital”. Types of Salsa Dance Salsa has been made into different forms of dance. I will briefly discuss the various types of dancing that available. Now, most of us have seen or maybe even experienced some form of Latin dance. The most popular and flashy of the salsa dancing is the L.A. Style. This form of Salsa is very flashy that uses dips and flips. L.A. Style is definitely great to watch, with the women being very sensual and the men tend do to a lot of jumps, flips and spins. Cuban Style is based of the rhythms of the music. It is also a non-partnered dance, which is optional. This style of dancing is also very male dominated because the men do more of the......
