The Paperbag speeches that we had in Professor *** Speech 103 class a few weeks ago were a great experience for me; it is my first speech class but I enjoyed doing my speech in a comfortable environment. I got to experience the great diversity in cultures from all over the world and got the chance to know a little something about each and every student in my class, which I wouldn’t have done otherwise. I noticed that every person has some unique characteristic, whether it’s their hobbies or talents. It is great to know about people’s interests and lifestyle, along with their personal background.

When Ms. first announced our assignment the first day, I had a feeling of excitement. Even though I’m not the best at giving speeches, I still wanted my fellow classmates to know the real me. They told me about my home country and the Indian Punjabi lifestyle that I was unaware of for 18 years; I was extremely fascinated when I found out where I came from and how I would have lived if I was back in India. The dressing style, the music and dance, art, food, rituals and even the daily lives of Punjabis was pretty impressive. My mother showed me old pictures of me when I was small wearing the traditional Punjabi dress but I didn’t want to bring those pictures to class because I thought it would be slightly embarrassing but now I regret; I think it would have been a little more interesting if would! I gathered all my old pictures with my parents and my relatives from India when I was small, along with some from my high school years, and all my cricket gear. It was great looking at old pictures…...

(9-12) He wants to save him, “I wait for his breath/ to lift his blanket” (18-19); Flynn makes sure he is alive every time he sees him asleep on a bench. Through the poem readers can feel the sadness and angry Flynn has towards his father. Flynn say in lines 6 through 8, “I want to believe/ that if I get the story right/ we will rise, newly formed,” that he wants to be close to his father. He wants a father son relationship since his mother is gone but the father is making hard to have that relationship due to his drinking. “My father is ink falling/ in tiny blossoms, a bottle/ wrapped in a paperbag”, his father is fading away and there is nothing Flynn can do. In both poems the poets have different types of relationships with their father. Ortiz has great father son relationship, relationships were Ortiz and his father spent time doing things together. Ortiz and Flynn come from different backgrounds which probably affected their childhoods making their relationships with their parents different. “My Father’s Song” and “Father Outside” are interesting because reader can relate to them by either having a hard working parent like Ortiz......

The appearance of the product is an indicator of how the product can be approved by a customer. Besides having a branded product, an appealing appearance is an essential to making the consumer or customer to choose a specific product. The research made prior to launching the product established that a major problem concerning the sale of charcoal was that the package became dusted and by carrying a bag of charcoal a customer getting dirty.
