Paul’s Case is the story of a young man who struggles with his identity. Paul feels that he knows where he belongs, but his family and teachers refuse to support his choices. In the middle of Paul's Case, there is a switch in narration. At this point, the reader can identify with Paul and his problems. Paul struggled with both internal and external problems. His parents and teachers thought he was odd. How Paul felt, was miss understood.
In the beginning of the story, Paul seems to be a typical teenage boy, who caused problems in the classroom. As the story progresses, the reader can infer that Paul is rather withdrawn. He would rather live in his fantasy world than face reality. Paul dreaded returning home after the Carnegie Hall performances. He loathed his "ugly sleeping chamber with the yellow walls," but most of all, he feared his father. This is the first sign that he has a troubled home life. Next, the reader learns that Paul has no mother, and that his father holds a neighbor boy up to Paul as "a model". The lack of affection that Paul received at home caused him to look elsewhere for the attention that he craved. Which I am sure many of us can relate to.
The theater and Carnegie Hall was where Paul "really lived". To him, the rest of his life was but "a sleep and a forgetting". The moment Paul stepped into either one of those places; he felt he was in his element. He "breathed like a prisoner set free". Paul's life was so dull in comparison to his theater life, which he felt was his "secret temple". He truly believed that he belonged to the arts. This makes Paul's case so sad because no one believed in him. This is what caused him to flee to New York to be in a place where he would be accepted for his true self

However eating the right thing will not get you nor keep the title Christian from you. So by all means eat pork hot dogs. Eat them for Sunday Supper or any supper. Paul’s family situation has no mother and a father who does no understand Paul and Paul is lacking parental guidance. Sonny’s parents are dead and he lost contact with his brother until he was released from prison, their home surrounding have major impacts on their lives, and they have similar hopes and dreams. ...Paul as a Pastor After reading Annette Huzenga’s article on “Paul as a pastor in 1 Timothy, 2 Timothy and Titus” I began to think that Paul could not be a pastor in today’s society because of his strong personality and sense of a grand mission that he was truly dedicated to. As Huzenga said “Paul understood this about himself.” He never stayed long at a church because his mission was too large to hang around too long. He was preaching to the Non-Christians in the Roman Empire. He knew that his life was in danger with the Romans. Paul was not a pastor, he was an apostle; (295). An apostle is known for moving around from one place to another. The apostle sends information to their churches and anoint others like Timothy and Titus to oversee the churches after his work is done. Timothy and Titus were not pastors, but “overseers”, “elders” or “deacons” to focus on two main points of leadership. (295) Timothy and Titus were Pauls’ respected coworkers, so they had to conduct themselves the same way as him. As far as what the scholars say, Paul didn’t write the letters and that they were written after his death, is an individuals’ belief. ...Paul Paul was man who not only contributed tremendously to the Old Testament works, who also spearheaded the spread of the Gospel to Asia, Africa and India. Paul or formal know as Saul was Roman born citizen per Acts 22:28. Saul, respectfully, was born some time between 5 A.D. and 5 B.C. Little is know about Saul up bringing other than he was a “ Pharisee, son of Pharisee” Much of what Christians know of Saul, is her encounter with the angel of Jesus on the Damascus Road. Paul, or Saul at the time; was in route to persecute the Christians. It was then Saul converted to Christianity and became Paul. It was also during this encounter that Paul was blinded. He was let to the city of Damascus with assistance due to his blindness. After 3 days his sight was restored. From this point forward Paul would travel the known world spreading the Gospel from Europe to Asia. Paul would even be arrested and imprisoned for spreading the Gospel. It was assume that he was telling people to go against the law. But that was not his goal. Paul also wrote 13 to 14 books in the bible. The reason for there not being an exact number is because the book of Hebrew is still being debated as a book the Paul wrote. ...Paul Ingram Paul Ingram was a deputy sheriff and chairman of the local republican party was accused of sexually abusing two of his daughters in 1988 (Brailey, 1999). With three and a half months before opening, Paul did not have enough investors to fund the startup costs, so he needs to decide whether to invest all of his student loan money ($12,500) to maintain the timetable for the opening. By controlling risk, Paul is able to minimize his exposure to potential losses if the business does not succeed. Paul was a Roman citizen and although the scripture does not address where his citizenship came from it helped all throughout his ministry. Paul in Acts 18:3 is listed as a tentmaker and we can make the connection from 1 Thessalonians2:9 that this was done to offset his living expenses lessening his burden to the believers. Paul trained under Gamaliel in Acts 22:3-4 we see that he learned to be zealous for God and that he persecuted the followers of Jesus. The Bible then tells us of how Jesus interrupted Paul’s life. Paul chronology in the Bible only contains a few markers but without external evidence of Paul’s chronology they are still useless. The most important external evidence of Paul’s chronology is the Gallio Inscription which gives us an estimate of when Paul appeared before Gallio in Acts 18:12-17. After Paul’s conversion in Acts 9 Jesus sends him to Damascus to receive his sight back and receive instruction. Acts 9:20 says, immediately he began proclaiming Jesus in the synagogues: “He is the Son of God.” Then it seems that after his conversion he went to Jerusalem three years later, and then again eleven years later.
