Prepaid Legal Service (PPLS) provide a legislation service that members could receive law service by paying small amount of money on monthly bases. When members have legal issues, PPLS could access them to attorney network to sue or pay related compensation for those who have their own attorney. Therefore, members would feel that someone would back them up, and that’s the greatest value for its customers. Furthermore, they create a “Family plan” which provides a comprehensive protection for a family. Since their target customer is for middle-income Americans, it is widely accepted and the number of membership significantly increases. Injustice of Alabama Prepaid Affordable College Tuition Program

...Injustice of Alabama Prepaid Affordable College Tuition Program One injustice currently affecting my community, my family, and many other families throughout the state of Alabama is the Alabama Prepaid Affordable College Tuition Program (PACT). Instead of maintaining a “college fund” savings account at the bank or investing in stocks or bonds, many parents and grandparents “were sold on PACT and its assurance that they were paying tomorrow’s tuition costs with today’s dollars” (White, 3). So, they “decided to play it safe with guaranteed tuition for their children and grandchildren when they reached college age with a plan that was backed by the State of Alabama” (White, 3). Now, those parents and grandparents who had the foresight to plan ahead and secure the future education of their children and grandchildren by sacrificing to purchase PACT Plans are being told that education is in jeopardy and is no longer guaranteed (White, 1). The Prepaid Affordable College Tuition Program was originally started in 1990 when then State Treasurer George Wallace, Jr. and Lt. Governor Jim Folsom, Jr. sold the Legislature on the idea. (Rawls, 1). The two-decade old PACT program allowed families to prepay tuition by buying contracts when their children were young. (Rawls, 3). The state invested much of the money that parents paid into the program in stocks to generate enough money to cover the cost of four-year tuition at a state university by the time the child finished high school...

Prepaid electricity in South Africa as a technological advance Prepaid Electricity is fast becoming a Global premium way of being connected to the electricity provider. Most countries, South Africa included now make use of prepaid electricity and meters to provide electricity to their citizens as it makes it easier for consumers to monitor and control their consumption. Prepaid electric power metering was introduced in South Africa as a small scale engineering project in the 1980’s (McDonald, 2012). However, its use dates back to 1913 when it was used in mining settlements. In the 1990’s prepaid electricity was introduced in Soweto townships like Thembisa as a way of improving electricity infrastructure in the townships. One positive effect of this technological advancement was a move away from the financial problems caused by the use of post-paid electricity. Post-paid electricity was costly, as it was based on meters that recorded consumption (McDonald, 2012). The reading of these meters, distribution of bills, dealing with arrears and disconnecting consumers who failed to pay proved to be very difficult. Residents in Thembisa first responded by destroying prepaid meters, while the Thembisa council responded by protecting the prepaid meter infrastructure. ...“Eco- activists” were born out of the necessity to protect the environment against the landowners and real estate developers who were profiting from the landscape around Los Angeles. These eco- activist developed laws to help fight development. This is how the “enviro-crats” came to be. They were the administrators of the new laws created by the “eco- activists” that were there to protect the environment. These people had to navigate in such political atmosphere which was heavily influenced by the landowners and the developers. Although it would prove to be tough, it was not impossible. There were “enviro-crats” in state and local government and in the federal land agencies in the U.S. department of the interior. They were all playing a game of chess in the urban development of Southern California. A perfect example of this was seen when Bob Hope decided he wanted to sell Jordan Ranch to developers. The L.A. County Board of Supervisors was developer- friendly and permitted subdivisions to be built all over the mountain because developers were willing to pay top dollar for land, it was a lucrative business. But Park services could not match developers dollar –for- dollar even when funds were available to purchase land. So, if the envirocrats hoped to save any piece of land they would have to find another way to get the results they were seeking. This is how they developed their deal making approach. They made deals with developers to donate or sell property at a discount. ......

The problem with making assumptions based on stereotypes, racism, and bias maybe considered two-fold. Of primary concern should obviously be the narrow-minded and over generalized prejudice which exist in mainstream media culture. Then, of only slightly less distress, would be the willingness of society to accept such demeaning norms. However, within the “high definition” world of television, some prime-time shows are shattering overused typecasting. Although some are not also. For instance, one such common immoral stigma would be that only men of European heritage may hold position of authority at home and more importantly, in an office. Furthermore, African, Spanish speaking, and other ethnic American will be depicted as second-class citizen. Additionally, women of all races may not hold any position of a profession as do their made co-star. Luckily, most of these false accusation were proven wrong. For this analysis of television diversity, or lack of, a look at the portrayal of African American men as in their position within a working environment, the dynamic of their family structure, and the overall social implication of such position will be explored.
