Based on technical innovation training, training analysis is ascending into the strategic level, standing in a new height. Through the analysis of the role which enterprise training plays in technology innovation, based on the enterprise development strategy, job analysis and technical requirements; propose technical processes in small and medium-sized enterprises. From the Angle of enterprise technology innovation, put forward the enterprise training strategies which should be adopted in small and medium-sized enterprises. ...Introduction The development of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in developing countries is generally believed to be a desirable end in view of their perceived contribution to decentralized job creation and generation of output. SMEs constitute the dominant source of industrial employment in Bangladesh (80%), and about 90% of the industrial units fall into this category. The actual performance of SMEs, however, varies depending on the relative economic efficiency, the macro-economic policy environment and the specific promotion policies pursued for their benefit. For the JOBS Program, Zaid Bakht (1998) and Salahuddin Ahmad, et al. (1998) developed research papers that describe the policy environment within which SMEs in Bangladesh operate. The reports also discuss the accompanying legal, regulatory and administrative constraints to employment creation by SMEs. This paper attempts to highlight the findings of those two studies. To complement the issues discussed in those two papers, a summary of industrial problems, as perceived by entrepreneurs during the past one decade (HIID, 1988; MCCI 1992; World Bank 1994; JOBS 1998), is also presented in this report. ...Connie Confused FROM: Annexmari Mejia DATE: March 21, 2013 SUBJECT: FRF for SMEs In July of 2009 the International Accounting Standards Board issued the FRF for SME’s in response to the burden that these entities faced with trying to conform to U.S. GAAP. Research and stakeholders opinions made it apparent that a special framework was required for the use of these businesses. Compliance with U.S. GAAP is costly and expensive and some of the principles are irrelevant for SMEs. You asked to be provided with a short summary explaining the FRF for SMEs. Once, the framework was issued the board wanted to allow two years for the entities to execute the FRF so they can then evaluate the implementation and determine whether it would need to be amended after. The board defined SME’s as entities that have no public accountability. In other words, the company does not trade stocks or bonds in the public market or are in the process of doing so. They also may not hold assets in a fiduciary capacity for outsiders as one of its primary businesses; i.e. banks. Essentially, the framework is designed for privately owned small profit enterprises that do not have to conform to GAAP. The reasons for the proposal of this change are to address issues encountered by the stakeholders when using the financial statements. ...Article 1: Exploring new supply chain strategies in manufacturing SMEs Summary: The article explores about the different types of supply chain strategies in manufacturing SMEs. Kamel A. Fantazy, Vinod Kumar and Uma Kumar are professors at Sprott School of Business. They did a research on what kinds of supply chain management strategies are usually adopted by SMEs. A research survey was created and distributed among 1500 Canadian SMEs, out of which only 175 were used as a sample. That’s how many responses were collected. Previously, the supply chain strategies of all the SMEs were classified into the following four: * Modularizing * Appending * Innovating * Following After the responses were computed, it was found out that modularizing and appending does not really exist, but there is another one which has been prevailing the manufacturing SMEs. It is known as Customer Oriented Strategy. So, now there is three types in total which are COS, INS and FOS. The results did not show any correlation with modularizing and appending and hence, were dropped off. Lessons Learnt: * Activities within the supply chain must be Customer Based. SMEs should be Customer Oriented. Factoring Sme

...enterprises (SMEs). What is unique about factoring is that the credit provided by a lender is explicitly linked to the value of a supplier’s accounts receivable and not the supplier’s overall creditworthiness. Therefore, factoring allows high-risk suppliers to transfer their credit risk to their high-quality buyers. Factoring may be particularly useful in countries with weak judicial enforcement and imperfect records of upholding seniority claims, because receivables are sold, rather than collateralized, and factored receivables are not part of the estate of a bankrupt SME. Empirical tests find that factoring is larger in countries with greater economic development and growth and developed credit information bureaus. In addition, we find that creditor rights are not related to factoring. This paper also discusses “reverse factoring”, which is a technology that can mitigate the problem of borrowers’ informational opacity in business environments with weak information infrastructures if only receivables from high- quality buyers are factored. We illustrate the case of the Nafin reverse factoring program in Mexico and highlight how the use of electronic channels and a supportive legal and regulatory environment can cut costs and provide greater SME services in emerging markets. The key messages from the studies examined in this paper are that Malaysian SMEs still face many domestic and global challenges in achieving economies of scale and competing internationally. ...SME defined by SBP as an entity having less than 250 employees and Rs. 300 million revenues. SMEs account for a substantial part of the economy; there are about 3.2 million enterprises in Pakistan, of which about 3 million (93%) are SMEs. SMEs spread across the economy with varying density: see exhibit 1-A for the sector wise division of SME sector. According to a survey conducted by SMEDA, this sector contributes more than 30% to GDP and 25% to the country’s total export earnings, and employs close to 70% of the labor force in the manufacturing industry, services, and trade. Their share in manufacturing value addition is estimated to be around 35%. Small & medium businesses play a very critical role when economies are transiting from low to middle income levels yet Pakistan has paid less attention to the growth and development of this crucial pillar of economy. Our report mainly focuses on the financial constraint to growth of this sector. Capital requirements: According to SMEDA there’re 800,000 SMEs in Pakistan that are eligible for bank loans. ...SUMMARY Overall, the SME FDI is currently an extremely valuable initiative. Through appropriate and careful analysis of the data, public policy can be directed yet more efficiently to further improve competitive advantage of Canada's SMEs. In particular, the baseline survey associated with the SME FDI is an extraordinarily valuable research undertaking. It provides the potential to assess directly the extent to which financing gaps might occur in the capital markets on which SMEs rely. This is an important issue in practical terms, in terms of the role of public policy, and in terms of economic and finance theory. The SME FDI baseline survey data provides, for the first time internationally, a means of empirically testing Nobel prize-winning ideas related to information asymmetry and capital rationing. The data provides a means of providing yet better guidance for public policy with respect to addressing potential capital market imperfections that might constrain growth and economic development of SMEs. As designed, the research initiative can and will provide valuable information about these issues. In summary, the baseline survey undertaken as part of the SME FDI is a potentially invaluable resource with respect to the design, targeting, implementation, and follow-up assessment of public policy approaches to nurturing SME growth and viability.
