Myself and I

...My name is Karina. I was born and raised in the beautiful country of Kazahstan, which is located in the Central Asia and was the part of the former Soviet Union. I finished High School there and attended four-year college for about two years. I was majoring in Customs Law, but I didn't finish it, because my mother won a lottery Green-card (permanent residence in USA) and we decided to move to America. I have only one older brother. His name is Ulan. Hi is 30 years old. We are very close to each other, although he is four years older than I am. Unfortunately, he is not here with us right know, because according to the US law, children over 21 years old are not eligible for the green- card, so he stayed in Kazahstan. My father died a year ago of stroke. He was just 54 years old. I still can not believe that he is gone. I still miss him and he will always be in my heart. I and my mother came to the United States four years ago. We live together in Brooklyn. She is very strong and good person. She is the one who influenced me to go to the college. English is not my first language, so I was afraid that I wouldn't do well at school. She kept saying to me that I'll do well and that she believes in me. And here I'm at the LaGuardia Community College today, majoring in Paralegal studies. This is my third semester here. Now I feel more confident about myself, because I passed all courses that I have been taking and received good grades and try to do my best to keep doing it. I'm a......

Me Myself and I

...Me, Myself & I By Andrea Bridglal Everyone is born into this world innocent. How you live your life, day by day, the decisions you make, now that’s what really affects you. Sometimes, it might not always be your fault. There are people who will always try to bring you down. They’ll try to hurt you. There will always be someone to tell you that you aren’t good enough. If you let it affect you, now that’s on you. That was my mistake. Growing up in New York City, with a single parent, isn’t the most difficult thing in the world, but it sure isn’t that easy. My parents have been divorced since I was three and I never really had any kind of relationship with my dad. He’s an alcoholic and growing up, I realized I would never have the bond that I wanted to have with him. Unfortunately, it took me way to long to realize that. Instead, I pushed away the people who did care and those who did try to be there for me; my grandparents, my uncle, and most importantly, my mom. I felt like I was alone even though I wasn’t. Not only did I push people away, I found it very difficult to let people in. On top of that, I was different. I come from a West Indian, Islamic background and growing up as a minority made it even harder to make friends. September 11, 2001 changed my life completely. No, I didn’t lose a loved one but I did lose something with equal value, self respect. My self-esteem was shot at 7 years old. I became ashamed of who I am, the color of my skin, the texture of...

...Styles After taking the LSI (Life Styles Inventory) survey, I noticed certain things about my personality and my thinking styles. Certain styles rated higher than others, but there were a few that stayed constant. The two longest style extensions have the greatest influence on my behavior, and are called your primary and backup styles. Going through these styles in particular, I noticed my primary style is approval and my backup style is conventional style. In the LSI index, “The Approval scale measures our need to be accepted by others to increase or sustain our feelings of self-worth. While the desire to be approved of is natural, problems occur when approval-seeking becomes a need, and ultimately our standard way of interacting with others.” This means I need people to approve my lifestyle. I try so hard for people to impress people with my personality and character, but sometimes it’s not enough. This style is categorized as having low self-esteem, an over concern with wanting to be liked as well as complications with conflict and confrontation. In this case, I am the type of person who tries very hard to be liked by others. Sometimes it can backfire because I show a persona of myself to people where I will act like someone I am not so that they accept me. In this world we live in, it’s a dog eat dog world where people don’t care about your feelings. They will do anything to get to the top of ladder. Personally, I am the type of person who truly feels better when......

After the machinery and oil industry, this industry as a modern service industryandthe device to create connectivity among nations and various people in the world have been under public attention. Attention to this industry especially in the countries which are rich in historic, cultural and natural attraction resources is more considerable. Due to the lack of marketing, the role of this industry in the developing countries is paler than before. Development of this industry in Iran as one of the diversification strategies of country's income sources should be paid more attention by program makers and politicians' of the country. Today, marketing efforts are far more important than production and sales, so if a country has enough facilities andpossess potential of tourism but does not consider the marketing techniques and the introduction of this attraction in its programs, doubtlessly that country won`t be successful in growing and developing its tourism industry. Thus in order to gain progress in the tourism, giving attention to retrieval looks so essential and of course it is important to note that tourism development and marketing in the process are closely tied together and can......

I Want a Wife

...Essay) JUDY BRADY I Want a Wife (1971) Judy Brady’s essay became an instant classic when it appeared in 1971 in the premier issue of the feminist magazine Ms. As you read, analyze the definitions of “husband” and “wife” that Brady uses, and consider why this essay became so powerful in the 1970s. I belong to that classification of people known as wives. I am A Wife. And, not altogether incidentally, I am a mother. Not too long ago a male friend of mine appeared on the scene fresh from a recent divorce. He had one child, who is, of course, with his ex-wife. He is looking for another wife. As I thought about him while I was ironing one evening, it suddenly occurred to me that I, too, would like to have a wife. Why do I want a wife? I would like to go back to school so that I can become economically independent, support myself, and, if need be, support those dependent upon me. I want a wife who will work and send me to school. And while I am going to school I want a wife to take care of my children. I want a wife to keep track of the children’s doctor and dentist appointments. And to keep track of mine, too. I want a wife to make sure my children eat properly and are kept clean. I want a wife who will wash the children’s clothes and keep them mended. I want a wife who is a good nurturant attendant to my children, who arranges for their schooling, makes sure that they have an adequate social life with their peers, takes them to the park, the zoo, etc. I want a wife who......

Before I Die I Want to

...Before I die I want to... Before I die I want to be able to do many things that I want to do but I will only highlight a few that I really would like to be able to focus on. One thing that I want to be able to do before I die is to be able to live happy and relaxed for a long period of time. Another thing that I would want to be able to do before I die is to travel to a few different countries or even states for example in particular South Korea and maybe London. Something else that I would want to be able to accomplish before I die is to be at the top position possible at a job in the IT field or some computer related position. Lastly before I die I would like to be able to live life without regrets. The reasoning behind me wanting to be able to live a happy and relaxed life is because ever since I got into high school I don’t think have been living constantly happy life, and I have defiantly not been able to be relaxed because I picked up a job that I almost work every day and have lots of things I have to constantly worry about especially now that I’m in college, and my grades really matter to me now and hoping that I will be able to do well in my classes. Another reason that I would want to live happily is because living happy can help your life span so If I continue on living stressed out and worried about things every day I feel like it can affect my health in the long term, I feel like being able to live worry free would be such a good feeling. I really......

Me, I and Myself

...Me, I and myself I always ask myself: is it me, when I do something; could I do it better this time or did I do it for myself. I have time to think about these things while working. I work as a photographer and this job gives me a chance to express myself. It helps me even to understand some things better, because at first view I see things one’s way but after a while a see them completely different. The job gives me even the freedom to choose what to shoot and so the theme of my pictures often responds to my mood at that day. Or I can take pictures that will make me feel better than I do at that moment. Being a photographer is a job with so many various purposes – as many as the people are. Some photographers make only black and white pictures, other make colorful or extravagant or pictures that help in a science. The objective of the camera is like an eye of a man - everyone sees the world in a different way. But nobody can’t hide behind his work, even if he tries – it shows what we are. The most important thing for a picture to become a good one is to have its own feeling. When you a see a picture and it touches you, it rises in you some kind of feeling, that means that this capture was worth. Looking at some pictures make me think about many things and sometimes I can even change my point of view about something. While taking a picture I think about what’s my purpose for shooting exactly this or that. But after the picture is ready, it......

...assess the organizational fit in a better way and understand whether he/she is in total sync with the organizational goals and the other beneficiaries. The organizational overview addresses the following: * The mission and the history * The stakeholders * The goals and the programs * The budget * The outcomes and the achievements * The sponsors or the funders. I have chosen Salesforce.com as the organization for my analysis and believe that the description provided would help in giving a better understanding of the organization for any third party considering a position with the organization. This organization was developed about fifteen years ago with the objective of bringing together better and reinvented customer relationship management services (CRM) using the mechanism of cloud computing. They have revolutionized the process of CRM, and the way they have incorporated the entire system in cloud computing led to the foundation of a path breaking philanthropic model for them to follow. It eventually went on to become the leading enterprise in cloud ecosystems. With this system, industries and organizations are able to connect with...

Me Myself and I

...I have no single philosophy for life, but rather three philosophies. Each of which has different meaning. My three philosophies include the following: work hard, take pride in myself and the accomplishments that I make, and also everyone is on this planet for a reason. In the following paragraphs I will explain each of my three philosophies. From this, I hope that others will understand why I look at life the way that I do. The first of my three philosophies, to work hard, can be very easily explained. I feel that if money or a gift given to me by another person because I earned the reward is much more valued. In other words, knowing that I worked hard, did a good job, and deserve a reward makes me feel good inside. I also feel that all persons should have to work and support themselves. If a person doesn't wish to put forth any effort and work hard to support themselves, then that person deserves nothing. The next of my three philosophies is to take pride in myself and the accomplishments that I make. I have found that if I don't take pride in myself and what I do than I might as well give up on life. My reason for this being that no one else will think highly of me if I, myself, don't. I always set goals for myself before I begin a project or take part in an activity. My rule is to "Set my goals high, but obtainable," and although I may not always reach all of my goals that I have set, I should always be proud of what I have done. My final philosophy, everyone......

I beleive that in order to start New,Something would have had..... to come..... to a Close! Meet me in the Apostle Paul's epistle to the church at Philippi, Philippians Chapter 2 beginning at verse one.Where you will find these words,If there be any consolation in Christ, if any comfort of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any bowels and mercies, Fulfill ye my joy, that ye be like-minded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind. Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others. Verse 5 Reads.... Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus. It's me oh Lord, standing in the need of prayer! I come again asking that you would stand with me, put me down in the deep trenches of your word, let them......

.... 1 Introduction The real estate market, like other markets, is subject to the pressure of supply and demand. When speculation runs wild, prices can inflate rapidly. This is a "housing bubble." The danger in this situation is that the market will not be capable of sustaining the inflated prices, so the value of properties begins to come down, sometimes rapidly. Definition of a Housing Bubble * A "housing bubble" is a cyclical economic event where high trade volumes inflate prices, which ultimately become unsustainable, causing a lowering, or "crash" in values. Economic bubbles may be called by a variety of terms, including a speculative bubble, a market bubble or a balloon. Economic cycles of this nature are not exclusive to real estate. They have occurred throughout history in a variety of markets, including stocks, tulips and pottery. Contributing Factors to Unstable Housing Conditions * It could be argued that a housing bubble is really an example of a credit bubble. Although real estate is the underlying commodity, most house buyers use credit -- in the form of a mortgage -- to secure the property. Lax lending guidelines, rapidly inflating values, speculative buyers and the use of adjustable rate mortgages (ARMs), which can adjust to higher rates, are all factors in accelerating the likelihood of borrowers......
